Hi welcome to My Maths Adventure! I'm Sany, a mature student currently studying A Level Mathematics in the UK.
Most of my videos are tailored to adult learners, however my channel is for all students who are thinking about studying Mathematics at GCSE or A Level.
In my videos I’ll be give you advice on how to study effectively for Mathematics and what you should be doing to get the best grade possible when it comes to your exams. I’ll also post videos about me personally and how I manage to combine my Maths studies with my full time professional career.

Thank you for this. I fucked up my gcses pretty badly when I was younger. I managed to get a degree thanks to an Access course (graduating with a First in Geology in 2015). I then went onto do a Masters in Civil Engineering and graduated this year. Now in my mid 30s I want to ''correct'' my formative years and first get my GCSE in maths, then Maths/Further maths a-level (I am hoping to self study it). I never realised I had a gift for maths until I was studying engineering geology at University. I am finding self learning GCSE fine....not too sure I will think this way when it comes to a-level....oh well! Well done :).

@@MyMathsAdventure WAY TO GO!!!! I have to say, I bet you started understanding THEN enjoying it because that's exactly how it were for me. I hated maths through secondary but later realized it were because I did not understand. As I started understanding, I started loving it!

I will be 24 by the time I will sit my maths GCSE, I got a D the first time too. I am doing maths GCSE to progress in my career too. Your story is so similar to mine ❤

This is really interesting. I’m finding myself in the same position right now. I can’t move forward without A levels. This was something never thought would be an issue ever as my career is already well underway and fairly successful. It started to become an issue for me when i moved abroad. It seems this kind of stuff os really important when it comes to getting visas. Regardless of you vocational success. I hope to follow your journey into A levels and beyond as I start mine.

This is so inspiring. I wanted to study a level 2 course few years to help my brother and get a job at a pharmacy. however I could not get in anywhere. One day I a teacher ask me if I wanted to do BTEC level 1 engineering/Science. Now I want to to pursue it more. Now I need some maths in order to pursue it further. I took a higher tier text book out and find it daunting. So this video really helps. I hope I can be good at maths like you one day. Do you do videos on how to study maths that would be great.

Many years ago in late 90s i used to do heavyweight training and bodybuilding when I was 16, and many guys in the gym having to take time out of work to college in tyeor late 20s and mid 30s. That made me think and work hard so got A* to Bs in GCSE and then onto A levels. Went onto do a degree in maths and finance from a top Russell group university and then onto an invetsment bank in 20s. It all started from the gym and learning about difficulties I may face if I did not work hard on the exams. Well done. Life is a long journey and never to late but best realising early as you can if you may need certain exams.

Cheers for the thanks! If you can’t find a local college that offers A Level Maths then you’re going to have to self study. This is more demanding as you have to plan your study time and be self motivated to succeed. I wish you luck. Let us know how it goes 👍🏼

New to the channel dropped a sub instantly im 17 going into 18 I want to become a accountant but I have no gcse and a levels I’m going to do my gcse is it really hard becuz I feel I’m dumb? Any tips thanks

First thing is to change your mindset as your not dumb in wanting a better career and future. You don’t necessarily need maths for accountancy but it will help immensely. Do some pre-learning and check out some GCSE maths KZfaq videos 👍🏼

Hey dude , did you have to do an assessment before getting into the gcse maths class ? If so how did you find it

No assessment required. As it’s only GCSE maths. However your tutor will determine which paper they will enter you for i.e foundation, intermediate or higher. This is in Wales however I think it applies to England as well

Thank you - I’ve still not finished my A Levels yet. I’ll be done summer next year for my Maths A Level and 2022 for my Further Maths A Level

did you start with the foundation or higher tier class when you first began gcse maths and if foundation, what did you do to move to higher

It’s not until towards the end of the course until you know your capability and then you decide which paper to sit

@@MyMathsAdventure my plan Is to achieve a A*, is 1-2 hours a day and 3 hour classroom lessons enough ? or shall I do more self study

You’ll have to gauge how you get on in the first couple of months and see how well you take up the content. Don’t overload yourself too soon. Just get through the first 3 months and then assess if you need to do more hours 👍🏼

Generally no unless you studied at that level at your school before you moved to the UK. Best to talk to your UK school and ask them. Let me know how it goes 👍🏼
