First of all, an outstanding achievement so early in life. So well done dude. Secondly, to all starting their first College terms try and make a habit of truly absorbing the education. The fact you took an AP Spanish course and cannot speak a full sentence is a good case in point. Many of you will spend a small fortune on an education. So make sure after it’s all said and done, that your actually educated. Again congrats. and by NO means have I said anything with negatively or malice in mind. Just a good bit of advice I think. Good luck to all.

Just curious, what was your class rank if you knew? Also, is it harder to qualify for JMO or USAMO? Obviously usamo is a harder exam but compared to people in your grade, you still need to be roughly top __% right? Lastly, how much do the aops books help for JMO and which ones should you probably complete for JMO?

Just last year I started exploring US schools … Got silver in Astronomy Olympiad in Junior year … my school doesn’t provide IB/AP classes so I appeared in 6 Stem APs got 5 in all … n this year did YYGS Awesome Math Euler Circler presently doing Stanford Pre-college prog math … n NYAS … besides their ECs …. Do u suggest with 4.3 unweighted GPA I got a chance at MIT

Bit of a random question but how would you compare the difficulty of Berkeley Math Tournament to the AMC 10/12. By the way, congratulations for making it into MIT!
@Cararra3 жыл бұрын
I would say the problem difficulty is approximately the same as AMC 10, although you don't really get much recognition unless you get top 10 in an individual round so it's a lot harder to get an award

why’d you take 1+2 and E&M+Mechanics? I’m a Junior rn and was just planning on taking E&M + Mechanics.

my school doesn't offer AP Phys C classes so I was anyways taking the 1 and 2 classes for school, so I figured might as well take 1 and 2 as well (honestly doesn't really matter that much, I probs could have done without taking 1 and 2)
