Hey Koa, I’ve been wanting to write to you for awhile now but wanted to share with you how your show has changed my life. To sum it up quick, earlier this year I was off my feet with gout in my foot. Not being able to work for 8 days I was up in bed watching KZfaq when I came across your show. It caught my eye because I also have a son named Koa and his mom is from Oahu. I caught your show the same weekend you were up in Jacksonville Fl. I was so upset I could have driven upstate to meet you but it was too late. But I was very unhappy in life and the name of your show “this is livin” made me think that I wasn’t living the life I wanted. Watching your show made me get up and do something about it. I was living in the ever growing over populated Orlando but now moved to Cape Canaveral / Cocoa Beach (also the hometown of Kelly Slater). I basically live right off the beach now, don’t get the massive waves but I’ll still take it over City life. I’ve changed my diet and have been getting in much better shape too. If it wasn’t for your show I would probably be doing the same ole shit. Now life feels so much more stress free. If you do ever come back to Florida I would definitely like to meet you one day to thank you in person. 🤙

Man, I don't live in the U.S anymore but if I was still living in San Diego I think it'd be dope if you went out to the west coast. There's some great spots to surf in San Diego so you could paddle out while you're there too. Maybe even hit up LA, go to Huntington or something. Could have a west coast tour almost, pretty close considering you'd be flying from the islands. You you end up doing something like this I'm flying from Spain!

Dude, I had that same realization a couple months back, of the idea of being able to look back at a documentation of a majority of your life. Like when we are older and life changes... getting to go back and watch detailed moments, is a pretty bizarre thought. Imagine being able to watch a documentation of your grandparents lives? See what they were like... our grandkids will get to do that. Pretty wild!

Would totally love to have you stop by Pensacola, Florida! Our local shop, Innerlight Surf has brought big names, like the hobgood brothers, in with their film premier and there's a large community of surfers who would appreciate it! The shop just recently celebrated 50 years with the WSL and has many surfers and photographers who have worked with Surfer Mag/Surfline. Definitely swing by and shred with the gulf coast legend Sterling Spencer. We'd love to have ya!
