Hello Dr. Nithya, iam currently pursuing MD in Pharmacology in India. If i pass AMC and apply for jobs, will md be counted as experience or gap ?? My work in md includes attending toxicology opd, 1 month emergency posting, 3 months district hospital posting as a medical officer attending opd, ipd and teaching mbbs students along with thesis.

Hi Please refer to amc.org.au website for documents required. After completing mbbs and internship you can give amc exams. You can either do work based assessment or amc 2 exam. Then you need clinical experience in australia to apply for training/residency. If you are specialist then you can directly apply through specialist pathway and no need for amc exams.

Yes you can give amc if you have completed mbbs. Internship is good enough for applying for job . However you have to give amc exam first.

Hi, I have a question. When we apply for limited AHPRA registration in order to work after getting a job offer, I saw " certificate of Registration Status or Certificate of good standing " in the required documents list. Does that mean we have to be registered in our home country health base system ? Yes I get my answer. You need to be certified by your home country. That s a necessary document for amc job applications. So I started to work in my country to get that.
