Yeah, I must admit those horse don't have very good stats. I don't recall ever having found one in survival yet. Oddly enough, when you said it was day 1107 I had deja vu. That was the exact same day I was on in my world at the same time.

I think skeleton horses should have some unique attributes. Not only are they rlly rare, but they are also literally an undead horse, yet they are almost no different (maybe even a little worse). The only difference is that you can ride them underwater, which is kinda underwhelming.

some tips for skeleton horse hunting. the trap horse might despawn after ten minutes, but the ones ridden by skeletons that spawn dont. This means if you find a trap horse you can just activate it and leave to search more (Found two trap horses in one storm once, it was a pretty big plains biome I ran up and down during thunder) If you have trouble fighting the archers without killing the horses, just wait till the sun comes out and wait near them till the skeletons helmets break. They will burn right off their horses leaving them for you to claim.

If you splash the horses with swiftness or jump boost then breed them the potion boost go to the offspring permanently. This is because the speed and jump stats are affects so when the offbreed get the stats they’re cracked out.

I didn't even know they existed until I logged into my friend's server and found a couple wandering around my base last year. I've currently got 4 or 5 sitting in the barn I made. Very cool horses.

I got really lucky and in the first couple of days of my new world I got one to spawn at the bottom of a lake so taking them out was easy. One of them ended up being really good, can jump really high and since you don’t need a saddle for it, it’s perfect for a new world.

to avoid powdered snow, put on leather shoes. It will keep you afloat :D

The hilarious part is I was actually playing earlier and the skeleton army spawned and got all their loot; next thing I know a normal skeleton shoots me into a cliff falling into a creeper 😵.

The warden farm question: can you build a house over it and watch him come up and fall from it? be cool to go inside and just feel the feeling of him dropping all the way down. :)

You could try to put packed mud on the floor of the coliseum so it look a little more historically accurate.

I remember Skeleton horses used to have random stats so it was possible to get one with a lot of health, but nowadays they always have the same mediocre health and speed. I don't know when it was changed to this :'(

well now you have the 4 horses of the Endpocalypse...... Cab, Train, Bus, and Trolley...... The 4 of them can shuttle you to where you can find a dragon...... and find a way to farm said ender dragon lol forget the enderman farm... ender dragon farm when lol

I don’t know about in Java, but in Bedrock, skelly horses can be ridden underwater. And they’re slow and have low health.

The one big downside to those things that I learned after getting one in my own survival world is that they can't use horse armor. So they aren't the fastest, highest jumping horses you could get and they can't wear armor. Big sad.

One time on one of the servers I used to play on, I would often be the only one online. My base was on a smallish island and I ended up getting 15 Skeleton Horses (I had 16 but I accidentally killed one of them trying to kill the skeleton off of it). Fun Fact: The Skeleton Horse can be ridden and survive under water.

In Xbox 1 edition of Minecraft, the Skeleton Horse was OP. I'm pissed that the Zombie Horse is a thing, but it doesn't naturally spawn, which sucks. It'd be cool that if you're on hard mode, there's a 50 50 chance that a zombie will attack a horse, and the horse will be zombified. Anyone think that idea is cool?

I heard you say “oh these horses have the BEST stats” in the beginning and was just holding my breath for when you discovered that they’re only good for looking cool. They have awful health and you can’t equip armor, though it makes sense considering they have zero muscle mass, you could probably smack them and their bones would fly everywhere. Still, I try my best to find them in every world just to make my stable look cooler! What would be really amazing is if they found a way to implement zombie horses without cheats… maybe someday?

Every survival world I play always found 1 mostly underwater and yes skeleton horse dont have much health and jump. But fun to ride when you splash it with jump boost and speed potion, it can cross any land and water.

I kind of have a lower end computer. I have Sodium do deal with a lot of the lag problems, but lots of chests are bound to cause some frame drops. That's why I use Barrels for my storage systems. Not only do they not cause lag, but they're more aesthetically pleasing than chests IMO

I only started Minecraft a couple years back, and made a Realm for me and my out of town brother to both play in. I got real lucky and had the skeleton horses just randomly trigger next to our base one day and knew nothing about them at the time, but still managed to capture all 4. Name tagged them War, Pestilence, Famine, and Conquest. (Conquest could jump mad high.) I was always kinda scared to take them out exploring though, after riding one of my regular diamond armor horses into a hidden lava pit. 😅

Pretty sure the lag around the base is from the 9999 villagers in that breeder, not a handful of campfires... ;)

I'm an old MC player and skipped many years without playing and saw one of these boney guys and it scared the crap out of me when lighting hit it and they turned into skeles!

I've gotten skeleton horses in a few survival worlds, but I never quite figured out what to do with them, especially since I rarely use normal horses. I did start on an underwater stable to store one in a world, but it was a multiplayer world, and it didn't stay up long enough for me to finish it.

I spent the time like you did to find a skeltal horse.....got him put back in my stable with my other horses i'd collected...and then two nights later the wild hunt showed up and I got 3 more.... but skeletal horses are kinda low tier, they don't have have a lot of health, they're kinda slow and they don't jump well.

I found one in survival once. He was great, but his stats weren't. I eventually took him over to a field with some other horses and released him, so he'd have some friends to hang out with.

I found them a while ago but it was on bedrock on the xbox in a realm that I don't play that often since I got a computer that could actually run Minecraft smoothly. Looking forward to finding some more but not going out of my way right now.

I like how he gets so excited when he gets a charged creeper to blow up zombies and get head when he has the head mod and can get them any day.

They should give the skeleton horse something special normal horses dont have to make em viable again, but not op. Fire resistance would be dope for them. Even with their lower stats compared to normal horses, fire resistance would make em great nether mounts.

One thing that makes skeleton horses nicer is that they don’t require a saddle. They only have one slot which is for armor. I have found a couple of these in survival and they were pretty cool

Want ethically sourced leather? Find a mushroom biome and then just do some laps despawning some mooshrooms. I get a stack easily in a few minutes.

The goat horns only drop if they hit a natural block or stone. Stand in front of something and when they go to ram you, jump up and backwards to avoid them and they will hit the stone.

I love skeleton traps, their fun.

First time they appeared, I didn't see the trap horse, just lightning after the storm was gone. I had no idea what caused it. The skeletons got into a fight killing what I thought were all but one horse. I killed the last skeleton, kept the horse, and went on with my game. A week or so later, I was building near the water where they had spawned and noticed one of the horses down at the bottom of a deep bit of river, stuck in a hole. I rescued it and had 2. This time, I saw the trap horse and didn't know it was a trap, but wasn't terribly surprised to see the lightning hit it. I tried my best, but the skeletons killed 2 again. I saved 2. They are mostly aesthetic, but it was sad to see their tiny health bar.

I have played the Java version of Minecraft since alpha 1.1. Switching my OS from Windows 8 to 10, I decided to try the Bedrock version. In that playtrough I had the skeleton horses event happen once on a perfectly sunny day. That was interesting.

I think the trap horse spawn is just really random. It doesn't even need to be raining. I had four spawn around my house, on my family server, while I was building my auto wool farm. They just popped up one after the other, with no rain for at least 2 of them.

Hey Wattles, would you consider making a walkway on the right side of the entrance of the cave. And adding different stores or shops in the walls giving it kind of orgimmar look, adding shops and bridges from side to side of the cave but leaving the center open. Maybe add some minecarts that randomly move through the scenery so it looks like a busy mining cave??

I've had the same issues on lag and progress on my worlds. From personal experience, maybe wattles should check on how his villagers are faring... uh... *Towards their next plane of existence.* Mostly.

For anyone trying to catch the skeleton horses or skeleton horsemen, try it in the amongst any forest. The 3 block tall height of skeleton horsemen will mean that when they spawn they are immediately trapped by the leaf block. Also, carry bottles of invisibility, rails and minecarts. I have all 4 skeletons and skeleton horsemen in my museum. Was surprisingly easy.

I was new to minecraft and didn't know anything about skeleton horse traps when I saw one. I approached it and bam! I was so unprepared for a fight with the Four Horsemen. But I got a skelly horse and it was the best horse I ever had. I haven't seen one in the new version so I don't know if you were just unlucky or if they tend to be lousy now.

Since you did the chunk reset on the map does that mean the large map you have at the base now needs to be redone or will it still work?

Minecraft is a game of opportunities. Usually you just keep playing until the moment like a Skelton horse or charged creeper or zombie villager comes around. Cause God knows the moment you look you won't find any...

I play bedrock on xbox and it thunderstorms a lot. Also I found the best horse in the game ( jumps 5 blocks high, full health like 15 hearts, and runs fast ) in a fence off area in a random village while roaming around.

If you go to a mooshroom island they are easier to spot as they are the only hostile mob that can spawn there
