Today, I thought I’d share with you what I do in order to overcome childhood emotional wounds and past trauma naturally by myself.
The real underlying problem is that there’s a sensitive spot in my psyche where that we acquired in the past, perhaps in our childhood. And if anyone were to brush up against it, it’ll flare up. Someone might make the wrong kind of comment at the wrong time, and it’ll trigger a downward spiral. So I know with things like this, it’s best to get to the bottom of it and find that sore, and heal it.
These are the four steps I take in healing the inner child. Hope you enjoy the video!

Every slide, every expression, every sound is so carefully chosen. Beautiful Rei. I loved how you deal with your problems. I generally go to my primary wound that generally happened in childhood, remember it, became aware what thoughts, feeling I had as reactions without loosing in them again, and becoming aware about everything that happened it frees, it's not effort but skill, I'm sure you know it too. And when it feels too much and can't be aware of unbiasedly, then I use a quote , " A true devotee doesn't use a rudder while sailing, he or she simply Unfurles the main sail and let the winds take the him wherever it takes". That fills me with pure acceptance, it's like I recognize existence has been writing this story which I claim to be mine and that recognition frees me from doership as well as from the gainer or looser.

That’s so inspiring..! I love that beautiful quote. Right, to have that kind of total acceptance is absolutely healing the primary wound. Thank you for sharing your method 😊🙏🏻

I love the way you illustrate your words 😄💖 Words alone often keep us in the mental, but the illustrations, especially yours, including humor, help to make the distance we need to get out of our wounds and beliefs. Desidentifying ourselves from our stories, wounds, and so on (without rejecting them) is an essential key to heal and free. Love from France💗🌸💗

Thank you, I never thought about illustrations having the power that you described until you pointed it out. And you’re absolutely right. 😀 🤯 And yes, I do think ultimately we’re trying to dis-identify with our stories. Thank you for sharing your perspective 🥰

One of the things that I will do when dealing with past childhood trauma is watch it over in my head as a third party like I am watching a movie. This gives me perspective outside of myself and I can separate my feelings from the event and look at it for what it is. I get a clearer picture. I ask myself why do you think they did that or did this. try to understand that "hurt people" hurt people. and then create a new memory with resolution. I do this by entering the scene as myself now to protect my younger self and comfort them. I find that this often resolves issues with my inner child and brings resolution. It is hard to do when you can only see it through the child's eyes during the moment. I dealt with a lot of physical, emotional, and psychological abuse while growing up which had made me miserable for most of my life. It also put into place defense mechanisms that were toxic. It made me have problems with relationships and dealing with certain situations without the use of violence. All of it I hated but I felt like I was not in control. It was just the way I was. Only after I started trying to fix everything is when my ego death also happened. It has been an interesting journey, to say the least. Every week I resolve something else and each time I feel like a weight was lifted and life becomes more beautiful. I can hardly wait for the future. Thank you for your videos.

I love that tip! I did try creating a new memory, since the past, present, and future all exist at once, so why not access the past and change it. 😅 But unfortunately, it doesn’t work so well with me because I was ultra aware that it actually did happen and it is part of my experience. So instead, I do try to look at the same situation in the other person’s eyes, and through their limitations. Thanks for sharing!

I literally have taught myself these steps and it all started with years of severe depression and then this question "what would you say if your 8yr old self was this upset?" I'm sure it wouldn't be "this is what I deserve", "I'm not good enough" etc. I was my harshest critic, black sheep in the family, with all the Claire's joining me for gifts in this life. With all that I stood no chance of being taught what you so profoundly and simply touched on at the end. Be your Parent, be Your Best Friend, be your biggest Fan. Its not only good but required of us. Thank You! Now can we all collectively go scream this powerful information from the rooftops!!!💛💛💛

It’s important to feel fully to heal. Some people journal to get in touch with their feelings, others do breathwork, therapy, etc

Yes, when we begin to see ourselves through how we are seen, we allow control, influence, comparison and not freely choose, and feel good... that's actually abandoning self and no one outside can help with this. We need to own and sort it all.

I found you about a few weeks ago. What I like about your channel is how you tell your stories in such a light innocent way. Ive been on a spiritual path since 2018 and watched many 'big' teachers. Somehow I didnt like listening to there tone of voice. It felt like I wasent learning quick enough and it felt me left in my victum mode. So heavy😂. I like your way of telling, because you can see the 'joke' and joy in it❤️ Thank you so much! I will listen to your next videos! Greetings from Holland.

What works for me right now is I write or speak nice things about the person I'm triggered by. Example: I love my mother. She is sweet, gentle and kind in her own unique way and I'm thankful.

You are a gift. I have to use this talk you have shared. To live forward. The tenderness of similar spots i have not nursed with coping skills . By non destruction stUCK-ness. Ive just tried to.maintain... Im ok, but these parts you have been putting out. I need to listen daily. As before i have shared. Your way of sharing with us is so simply delightful. Your voice has a very special something i am unable to articulate. A couple words i can describe for me in your messages, your voice. Peaceful, calming, simple . IE ( simple,)‐‐ truth can be so strong it almost knocks you off your feet. Something can be truth and be gentle. I have wanted to believe that. Or i all ready do, maybe. Keep it up Rei i appreciate your Way , Ty sam Peace

As I have said before…you make so much sense to me! I am hard on myself and I’m learning….your steps are really good to help me follow and try to control my emotions a bit. I have felt great shame and guilt learned by my grandparents and there ways. I love though, that blame is not brought into it. Circumstances are the condition for all our pain. For years it was everyone else’s fault but my own…through therapy, and a journey through myself….I have come to accept my own role in my life play. I never felt I had power over me. Only everyone else did and I let them trigger me on cue and reacted to it because I felt I deserved it. I was told I did by my grandparents. I am still trying to be kinder to myself. Every step in my journey, I hope is one of healing. I never want someone to feel that way, the way I did helpless and with no one to talk to or help. Except God. He was always there for me💕

They might act from a place of trigger but that doesn't allow them to say mean things to us. How long can you fight their treatment that hurts you? It's on them to understand you and to be kind to you, especially when you have tried to communicate over and over but they still choose their old ways of thinking. If not they're not right people. I understand they might have problems but if they're not careful about their words then I don't want to be around them.

Great video! One of the tools i use is when feeling triggered is EXREME EMPATHY If I'm able to actually put myself IN the other person's perspective, it usually will give me insight into their motivations. Space to see that usually they are not trying to be cruel, hurtful or unkind to me. Knowing that others are mostly focused on themselves (often to the exclusion of everyone else) helps to not take it personally. Thank you 🙏❤✊🏽🍀✌🏽
