I think you may try explain the beauty of Catholicism. Catholicism has priesthood from the line of the Apostles. The priesthood in Catholicism is valid. Priests have teaching authority, governing authority and sanctifying authority. Because the Bishops and the pope exercises teaching authority, they could govern the Church. Unless the leader has the authority to speak out what is right and what is wrong, what is permissible and what is not permissible, he cannot govern his subjects. Catholic Church has streamlined this issue. Other churches have problems. Since Catholic priests are validly ordained, they could exercise sanctifying authority by virtue of the office they hold, not by their personal merit. That is why priests could sanctify the sacraments. The priest performs the ritual of water baptism to a person and God blesses him at the same moment, thus causing him to be born again. This initial salvation is a free gift of God received by faith. Priests could also sanctify and offer the whole congregation to God during public worship. Priests could offer bread and wine at the altar because they are authorised. Priests also have the authority to forgive or retain the sins of men. Jesus also made it possible for baptised believers to receive the holy spirit through the laying of the hands by the Apostles. God in his wisdom has made salvation accessible to all mankind especially to those weak in faith generation after generation. Not many will have the faith like that of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob but many can believe in what the successors of the Apostles teach. Jesus gave the power to his disciples to cause spiritual birth through water baptism. He let the holy spirit co-operate with the work of the priest in the sacrament of confirmation. He made himself present in the Eucharist. He gave authority to his disciples to forgive sins. He made himself present in the lives of his followers in the most practical way.

I’m in the same boat. My reversion will hit the 4 year mark this November. I always remember St Monica’s situation and I know the conversion is not of my doing, it is God 100%. I have prayed probably over 1000 Rosaries for my wife’s conversion and Chaplet’s of Divine Mercy. I know it will happen, even if it’s at her final hours I know it will happen. I try to always offer up my suffering for her, especially the ones that she gives me (emotional not physical). It’s gonna be in God’s time and when it happens it will be the perfect time. Also, I have learned that I need to make sure my intentions are pure because I know there would be times in the past where I would pray really hard for her conversion, but it was because she was causing me suffering and I would want her to convert so she didn’t cause me this pain, and that’s not right. Now I truly want her converted for her sake. I also have to trust in the promises of the Rosary and the Chaplet. It will happen, I just know it will. I love my wife and want her converted

Wow, congrats you got it! Jesus condemned hypocrisy and not the Pharisees. Matthew 23 1 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, 2 “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat, 3 so do and observe whatever they tell you, but not the works they do. For they preach, but do not practice. They sat in the seat of authority. He didn't condemn their authority, but their hypocrisy. Now tell us about the Pharisees like Nicodemus or other members of the Sanhedrin like Joseph of Arimathea who were followers of Christ. Edit: Oh, I see now. You're a follower of the protestant man made denomination of John Calvin invented in the 1500s.

Ok so what was recommended against the Pharisees is now an argument against the only true apostolic Church? Bird brain logic.

@@tinag7506 He, like almost every protestant, thinks that Jesus condemned ALL the Pharisees for their position and religious zeal. Except Jesus didn't condemn that. The first 3 verses tell us that they sit in the seat of Moses and to listen to them. Then Jesus goes on to condemn the hypocrisy of some Pharisees and tells us not to be hypocrites. Protestants are blind to this because they fail to read the scriptures in context. It's funny how they forget about men like Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea who belonged to the Sanhedrin.

In addition to belief in core principles such as rejection of other religions and maintenance of Druze secrets, the Druze believe in reincarnation."

Ultimately it’s a work of the Holy Spirit and God’s timing, all we can do is live it as Mike is explaining, trust God, and especially love our spouses unconditionally.

You clearly have no understanding of the scriptures. Those churches were all plural in the sense of their location. The church is one body, it is singular. Jesus only has one body not many bodies. @@John_Six RCIA stands for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. In the bible all you need is faith to be initiated into Christ. The Catholic church has turned it into works based salvation. The Catholic church has a lot of similarities to some of the five churches Jesus condemned in the book of Revelation, and some things she has done in the past are even worse.

⁠@@theextreme7134 Catholic here. Salvation is a one time event done purely by the grace of God. No one “becomes” a Christian through RCIA. Those are people who already have faith but want to be members of the Catholic Church. RCIA is a time of growing in their faith, learning theology so they know what they’re converting to and preparing for their sacrament(s) when they are received at Easter Vigil. It’s not much different from a Bible study. If you through prayer remove those scales from you eyes about the Catholic Church, and at least learn something about it instead of rolling with things you’ve been told, it would be good for your soul. It’s 2024 and you’re on KZfaq, great learning channels are The Council of Trent and Shameless Popery, they do an excellent job explaining why Catholics do what we do. May God richly blessed you.
