In this video I break down my SPY trade, how much I lost, and some of the lessons that I learned from it. Hopefully it helps you guys learn from my mistakes so you can avoid making the same mistakes on your own.

It’s about time and energy. Good traders are totally exhausted at the end of the week/month after making good money. I have been trading for about 6 months now and just about every trade backfires and slaps me in my face. Nearly impossible for me to catch more than a few points . I try to do top down analysis but it doesn't work for me . I say to myself, clearly I'm in the 90% that lose money, so I open a demo account, do my analysis, then take the opposite of what I would normally take and get the same result. I'm starting to feel hopeless, any advice for a struggling trader?

Your problem could be your stop loss is too close or you're watching your trades too much. Place it and walk away. Or you could just give up, trading isn't for everyone.

@@elliotalderson9487 Don't listen to him, don't give up. Trading takes time(months, even years) to master, even the pros learn everyday. Never the less, if you lose money no matter which side you take, maybe you need to look at how you are managing active trades rather than how you are entering them. My advice, find a mentor . And also, try incorporating the use of oscillators, Bollinger and pivot points into your strategy. And most importantly move to higher TFs(4h or 1D preferably), you'll thank me later .

@@susanarmstrong8174 You're correct, I don't lose money every single trade, but my main problem is trying to let my runners run. Very rarely do I catch big moves . Instead they go a few pips in my direction, then go against me if when I try holding them. Also my entries could use a lot of improvement. A mentor would be amazing, but getting one is easier said than done. If it's not too much to ask, do you know any legit ones?

@@veronicavaladez3916 I know of one lady though, she is not a mentor per-se, but she is freakishly good at trading. From what I've gathered she used to work for a proprietary firm till she retired. Met her at one of those conferences, got to know her and we exchanged emails. Since she helped me, I've been making about $1000 bi-weekly. What I'm trying to say is the 5% of traders in the world that are consistently profitable are not on KZfaq, they are just random/lowkey people no one even expects . Her name was Laura woods by the way.

You should stick to one strategy, don't listen to everyone and respect where the market wants to go. Also, since you are a beginner trader, don't make trading your main source of income. Treat is as if it is just a side hobby or something that you want to improve in without it providing value to your life instantaneously. This will take a lot of stress and pressure off your mind and will allow you to enter trades with an open mind and not with a biased view to just try and make money.

im really glad you made this video. when you took puts after the drop i was kinda calling you a clown but atleast you made this video and owned up to your position instead of hiding and not posting anymore. much respect. Umar Bro I totally feel you cuz I started my account from 10k made it to 35k and I feel like I’m the only one who is always right in the market and forget about my position sizing and money management and I blowed out entire my account and was about to get heart attack. U lost more then 500k and still could find will and power to get back to the market I said fuck it I don’t know when I’m gonna be back cuz I’m not still ready neither psychologically nor financially. I listened to your video back in March where you said there was going to be a further drop, similar to the Great depression sell off. I was reluctant to buy in and because of this, I did not get in at the right time. Lesson learned for me, do your own research also before taking advice online. Love your videos by the way

This is going to be hard for me to type. I have blown 83.7% of my account in 3 days. I fell for a trap, I over traded thinking its going to flip any time soon. Started to increase my positions in the market. And the entire account started to see red. My PL for the year is now where it was when I started my journey in the industry. Started to think as a gambler and not as the person who started the account 5 years ago. Thank you for the video and the insights. It's great to see I'm not the only one. I'll be keeping off my social and KZfaq for a week or so until my mind is hungry again.

You weren't really wrong. The fed starting their infinite printing and the people who borrowed that money put it into the stock market. That's the reason it went up. It's still weak.

I made the same mistake. Lost alot less money (~$16k) but I didn't realize just how much the fed would pump the market. A year later, I gained it all back and I'm super happy. Sad to get the education first hand, but hopefully I don't make another mistake like this.
