I really felt that rant about exams being next to each other because, even though we have 9 exams per semester, they always manage to pack like 8 of them into the same week. Even though that seems impossible, they'l do their absolute best to put 2 exams on the same day at least 2 times and have them the day after another exam

Aw it's sad that you still have exams, this year's exams were very important for me as well and I have around 10 subjects, my exams were supposed to be over by 23rd March and everything was sailing smooth till 21st when I wrote my second last exam but the very last one that is geography got postponed and later cancelled, I'm just happy that they're still giving marks and not just omitting the subject since we had the whole book for the finals. Anyways all my work has been wasted so yeah. And good luck on your finals!

I have been writing my Masters dissertation.... I am doing it by research which means that I do not have any lectures anyway, so this Covid situation did not really affect my schedule. I do admit, though, I miss going to the uni library or coffee shops to study there... We'll get through it though! Can't imagine having exams during this time... so, good luck, Jack, and anyone else who might be dealing with a similar situation.

One of my uni friends who was studying history had two final exams over two consecutive days ( one in the afternoon, the next the following morning!). At A-Level I nearly missed my Spanish exam, as I’d had my orals for French and Spanish, French written, and one Spanish paper and English Lit exams, all in the afternoon. Then a two week break before my last Spanish paper. I woke up on the day of the exam, planning to have a leisurely breakfast, then revise, have lunch, revise some more then set off for my exam with my mum who had to drive me in. Realised about 10 minutes after I fully woke up that my exam was in the morning and was about to start in the next hour or so! My mum was out, this was before everyone had mobiles (2000) so cue rushing to throw clothes on and get my stuff together. School phoned me and they sent the secretary to pick me up. My mum came back and almost passed out from shock ( I’m usually super-organised and early to everything!), I had a meltdown in the car on the way there ( all the Spanish I had been cramming into my brain was just replaced with « Aaaaaaaarrrrggggghhhh, I’m going to fail, I won’t get into Uni, I’ll have to repeat Yr13... »). I managed to get a C in the paper and with my A for my coursework I thankfully got a B overall!

Also in my final year and my only exam has been replaced with an essay (my biggest piece of work is my research project). To be fair I think having all exams replaced with other forms of assessment would be a lot more overwhelming if I had any more than that

I feel your pain about online exams- our exams have been pushed forward by two weeks and have been cut from a 3 hour window to a 45 minute window to write two full length (three page) essays
