@@MooMoo628 I think this was done by MagicBox or IHasName. Each player faction was a different race and then there were Orcs guarding treasures in the center, one day these Orcs suddenly attacked but they were easy to repel. It's not bad if done correctly and I would like a simulation where the players are colonizers and these other NPC Factions are actually the Natives.

I actually disagree about the real Turkey death being anti-climactic. Like, maybe it is in its raw form, but I'd argue that the way Ender edited it in his video is actually much more impactful than the staged version. It really gave a stressful buildup to ultimate betrayal kind of vibe.

You know what would be cool? If a fan of the content, or somebody that took place in the event, made an iceberg video about all the original scenes, deaths, locations, well known group/player names, and rare information about the event that wasn't shared in the video. This would be so helpful to me as a viewer that watched the video without any prior knowledge of it. Sorry if my example isn’t good enough. Though it feels a bit intimidating trying to apply with how often the same players tend to appear, it makes complete sense since with projects this big you want people you can trust. I think one thing you could do to make these videos better and more accurate in the future might be to get more neutral observers taking on your role, so you have more observer footage to work with. You had to recreate a lot of scenes and change some stuff partially because you just didn’t have the right footage and didn’t fully understand all the complex interactions going on. I wonder if it would make sense to team up with several other creators to get more in the moment interviews, observers specifically to become experts in each nation. Not to influence events, but just to get a lot more understanding of what’s going on, and have more footage to pull from when you need to cover various events.

And i perfer emauelo flipping out and ordering his knights to attack the the over theaterized lava chair scene. And honestly ish, this could have been a hell of a multi parter with plenty of views if the desert people would have been allowed to do thier plans as well.. just my two cents.

I've been watching several videos published by players and leaders in the experiment and it is very insightful. Hearing from smaller communities pulled into or trying to survive when larger factions made demands deepens my appreciation for the server, the admins, and the players. Some story beats everyone concedes were retuned for cinematics, but hearing other sides of the stories about Desert and Jungle is a fascinating test of the history the players told themselves and others. I highly recommend.

Great event and great video. Would have been even better with MagicGum and Sword4000's approach of organic and emergent developments rather than to make up stories. If it's just inspired by the events rather than the actual events, it should be labeled as such rather than to steal the show from those who want to tell it more frankly. What is most exciting or notable about stuff like this is not the ending but the social experiment. It is a unique opportunity and it is instead used for something more mundane.

You know, making a series with more details instead of a massive episode would be cool, especially at this 1000 person scale. It'd probably be best to record all of it and edit them, and then release 20-30 minute episodes once a week for 10 weeks. (1 for each day). That would be pretty cool- and a way to showcase some of the B or C stories. Not to say that your current style is not also good, but going more in depth would also be pretty fun. I think this was the only video where it seemed like interesting things could still happen after the video. The other ones ended with "and they all escaped or died, the end". This one still had a majority of the civilizations in tact.

Thanks for admitting that Elanuelo did a Meta gaming that broke the roleplay in a bit. Next time please remove his moderation abilities while he is in a roleplay.

Whould be great to make this experiment with different nations people. Like really different who will need to really push hard to communicate with the others!

I wonder how far away we are from having 1000 player servers being a common place thing.

This is an amazing achievement of technology, organization, and editing, to be able to cram 1000 people into a server and tell a story like this. I do wish it was presented more as what it actually was though: a fictional, semi-improvised role play, rather than as a “social experiment”. I was slightly disappointed to learn that several major “plot points” were either massively changed or completely fabricated for the video. It definitely made for a better story! But a bit misleading to suggest everything happened organically

Maybe I’m asking for to much but it would be nice for there to be a 1200 player match and a 2 hour long videos But there being 6 islands(jungle, desert, plains, snow, mountains, swamp) 200 players on each island
