How I Made A Genshin Impact Game ( Otome / Dating Sim / Idol AU inspired )

In this video I'll talk about process of making a Genshin Impact Idol Game! (Or rather a mockup, I didn't learn to program for this but instead used After Effects to edit a video that looks like a game, more about this in the video👀)
I've seen videos from Love2DrawManga also talking about her experience of making a dating sim for valentines day and this video is kind of inspired by this, last year I also made a game using my OCs around this time and it was nice to revisit this and finally getting to use all the expressions for the Genshin characters I had drawn, seeing them come to life in a way was really cool! I hope you look forward to the other parts of the small Idol Story and let me know if you'd be interested in a otome like game / if you have other ideas for making a genshin impact game! Also making a more otome based game where you have choices and can get endings with the characters would be amazing to me :)

Okay, im a game designer(currently making an indie game) always, and I mean always separate layers for every part of the body for sprites. (Easier to make new ones.) May take up more data on the device but it is so much easier. Bonus you can also use a live2d like software. And for scripts, have multiple drafts. Not just one but multiple, stories change and it will give flexibility. For backgrounds always try to find your own way to create a base (whether in blender or something like Minecraft its up to you.) Secondly, always look for inspiration and look at successful games by small companies(or indies). They will show way a small amount of people can make a big game that is very good. And finally, this is the most important, bases will save your life when drawing characters! 2-3 angles are good but if you want a good prespective a 90° turn will be good enough (bonus for 180.)
