It took me a few days of listening, but I finally figured out that the arp lead is the same as Lionhearted - Porter Robinson. I'm sure it wasn't intentional. Love your stuff.

Yo, Big Z! Are there any tools you recommend using for diagnosing when a mix is "too busy?" Whether it's the case that there's too much going on in a certain frequency range or too many elements creating muddiness, I'm wondering if you ever rely on any VSTs / plugins. I know I should just "use my ears," but sometimes I can't trust my ears!

Mike McGowan train your ears! You’ll reap the benefits. Solo or mute tracks to see where sounds are overlapping/phasing/etc. Often, some synths will interfere with drums, kick with bass, etc

Find ways to minimize having to use too many different sounds to get a result. It’s always better to have 1 good snare drum instead of multiple if it’s causing a lot of muddiness. Sound choice is the absolute key to successfully creating space and depth.
