Thats 90% of youtube. I think its for the people that dont have tallent that think they are celebrities aka air heads. I mean pewdiepie and jacksepticeye are pretty dumb to but even tho they could be better they have tryed hard to get where they are and they still eggnolage that they could be alot better, sure jack makes things up to seem smart and pewdiepie has made some dumb choices that lack basic commonsense but they still are trying there best to be better.

yeah or Drew Gooden, also I am here 5 years later to learn how to do commentary videos. I will research and dive into rabbit holes of drama sometimes and know all about it. Like the Airrack fake video drama, I watched dozens of videos about it and Soggy Cereals video at least 5 times in full. I may not be very good at making commentary videos right now, but I do know a heck ton about certain things. I also have followed the not the onion subreddit for years.

How many hours does it take you to produce a video? I’m always curious about how comparable a 9-5 job is to being a KZfaqr in terms of amount of time spent working
@2Danny2Furious5 жыл бұрын
It's very hard to say exactly because I feel like I actually spend most of my time actually coming up with ideas. And the amount of time that takes can vary a lot, it's definitely the biggest limiting factor of how often I post. Producing the actual video is probably something like: 2 hours of writing 1-2 hours of shooting Anywhere from 5-10 hours of editing (it can vary a lot depending on how much footage there is, if I have to make changes to get a brand deal approved and stuff like that) The finalizing process of uploading and creating a thumbnail and title probably takes an hour or two. And then I spend the next couple hours reading/responding to comments and looking at analytics and stuff. Some KZfaqrs may only make videos but most also deal with things like emailing back and forth with brands/managers to work out brand deals/ go over merch stuff. That can take up a decent amount of time too. I think in general, the bulk of what most people would consider "work" takes up less time than a regular 9-5 job. But I do also feel like I'm never really done actually working. If you're a #influencer there's a pressure to be constantly monitoring videos performances, taking care of issues with videos if they pop up, checking twitter and responding to people and stuff like that, which constantly doing from when I wake up to when I go to bed most days. It doesn't necessarily have to be like that, but I think for many youtubers that's the case. All of this is based on my experience and process (which I've tried to streamline to make as efficient as possible). I don't really think there's any definitive way to measure the time of "being a youtuber" because it varies so much depending on what kind of videos you're making.

okay so i’m a film major and i work cameras and edit and everything and usually youtubers talk about this process like the are top tier experts of all this stuff but danny is so real i love it ALSO danny, when the audio overlaps onto the next clip, that’s actually a real technique used in actual cinema and it’s called an L cut! conversely, when the second clip’s audio starts on the first clip, that’s called a J cut! i’m so proud that danny just figured this out because it’s crucial in documentary and dialogue heavy filmmaking!!

This was actually super interesting to watch! You answered a lot of things I often wonder about. I'll definitely love if there's more like this in the future!!!

thank you for pacing your videos fast, i have adhd and struggle to concentrate on most youtubers and have to watch them at 2x speed but i generally dont have a problem with your videos and can get by with 1.5x speed

Thank you so much! I want to start a KZfaq channel so I’ve been looking at tips and how to basically make a video and this was the most helpful video I’ve seen plus it has boosted my confidence.

I love that you did this. I feel like so many other youtubers don’t give honest tips on how to make videos. I’ve recorded videos before but editing and audio were a mystery to me so I never end up uploading them. So. Thanks.
