In this video, I explain the process I use to create guitar videos on KZfaq.
My Guitar Gear used in this video here:
► Sweetwater - imp.i114863.ne...
► Thomann - bit.ly/3jM7T9A
(affiliate links)
My Cameras on B&H Photo:
► Panasonic GH5 - bhpho.to/31X5ZfG
► Panasonic G85 - bhpho.to/37UTvcs
► RodeLine Wireless Pack - bhpho.to/2HUlPko
I cover my process and how I go about building what is (hopefully) quality videos on guitars, amplifiers, and pedals. The video of the guitar that was the example in this video will be up soon after this is released.
Since beginning my channel in 2006, I now realize how far it has come from the early days. This video is designed to help those who are thinking of starting on KZfaq or those interested in how much work goes into the channel.

Actually, I was thinking of reaching out to you recently to see what I'd need to do some shootout vids. My pedal collection has grown monstrous and I figured I should run through them all with the same amp and guitar so we can all hear the differences between the pedals in a true apples-to-apples setup. So thanks for posting this vid, brother!

What software are you using for the video editing? I'm a PC user, so let me know what you might suggest for Win 10 OS. I don't plan on being complex with whatever I create, more utilitarian, so I'll just need the ability to overlay text or doing running banner text, and probably add links to online resources. Also, how are you syncing the vid to audio that might not be captured with the vid device? You using timecodes or just the old clap-board approach?

@@AndrewLewisHowe For windows you really only have Premiere Pro or Davinci Resolve. I use Final Cut for Mac these days. It's very fast to work with.

Thank you for the in-depth behind the scenes video. Many years ago, I used to make dive videos whilst working as a dive instructor. I was the first videographer on the island I was on to use Final Cut Pro (version 1 at the time)....I started knowing nothing and it wasn’t long before I realized how much work (often pre and post production) goes in to these things. Your videos are always excellent and I love your channel. Thank you again.

My fave !!! Kick butt Shane!! From your classic Vibe 2015 sunburst review I knew I had a great channel and eventually bought the same year make and model. Back then I was still Phone Nerding and keys. Hahaha. Man I wish I was there shane. I'd be the drummer and you'd have NO issues. Hahahah. 27 years I played. Wish I could fit one kit out here. I miss it. But guitar is still so fresh to me emotionally.

Shane - Happy holidays brother! So glad you did this awesome behind the scenes how-to. I heard you say you weren’t sure how many people would be interested. KZfaq is surging in popularity and new channels and you are a veteran user who has been doing this a long time so your candid honest info is very value added for the KZfaq as well as the music community:) I was taking notes like crazy for some channel ideas I’m working on. By the way, you may have already covered this in another video but I’m really interested in the signal chain and equipment for how the audio all goes together to produce the final published video. I didn’t see a microphone in front of the Marshall. Then the final audio of the guitar didn’t sound like the room mic for the guitar parts we heard in most of this either. So what mics or outputs are picking up the Guitar tones and how does that get sync’d with the video? Thanks again for all you do and for always striving to improve.
@intheblues
@intheblues 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate, all the best to you too. Basically most video editors allow you to sync video with externally recorded audio. Just do a google search for the software you use. I go through and manually cut out the voice mic every guitar part on every video.
