Күн бұрынIn this video, I talk about how I manage my finances in my 20s. My personal finance system is divided into two parts: Cash and Investments. For today, I'll discuss be how my cash system works.
I've started seriously managing my personal finances when I turned 18. There's a lot that I've learned since then, so I make videos like these to the things I've learned from my experiences.

Some of you guys have been asking me about how many bank accounts you should have. All in all, I have 13 "cash accounts" 🤯 This is made up of the cash I have on hand (3), my bank accounts (5), and my e-wallets (5). I know this sounds crazy, but hear me out!
I like to have separate accounts to separate my funds according to what I intend to use them for. If you put your funds all in one account, it can get tempting to spend them in one go. By having separate accounts, it makes it a bit harder for me to access some funds. As a result, I'm able to curb my impulse buying urges because it literally takes more effort to spend my money.
I also have a spreadsheet where I track everything! In this video, I'll be talking about my expense tracking spreadsheet, as well as how I track my general financial standing (net worth).

Having lots of bank accounts can decrease the risk too. In case of bankruptcy, up to 500k is insured by PDIC. Skl if u guys dont know hehe

How I wish that I have saved earlier when I was still in my teens, now that Im in my 30's na, medio mahirap nang mag ipon.. At sana mahikayat mo pa ang marami sa kabataan ngayon to be moneywise and invest.. And be financially independent and secure early.. Hope to learn more in your next videos.. Cheers

Lam mo namang ang advice ng matatanda.. Pero now Im learning a lot especially about ING and CIMB.. Same here. I also don't feel like using apps because there are limits on tweaking the accounts, so I also build my own financial tracker and statements using spreadsheet. It's nice to see vlogs like this. Keep it up!

we are so the same! I have several accounts and have a google spreadsheet too for tracking! I like tracking my finances with spreadsheets better than apps. I have more control. Before spreadsheets were a thing.. when I was so young like around elementary I used to track my money in a notebook only.

Watching this vlog again. Just want you to know na ikaw yung naginspire at nagturo sakin para imanage ang pera ko. Im working as data analyst and sa first year ko sa trabaho. Pay check to pay check ang buhay ko noon. Wala man akong sinusuportahan na pamilya pero lagi akong nauubusan ng pera noon like 1st week plng ng sahod wala na ubos na hintay na ulit ako next sahod. But when i watched this dito ako nainspire. Now nakakapagipon na ako may savings, emergency fund, leisure fund na ako. Sobrang helpful nung sinabi mo na dapat iba't -ibang account mo nilalagay yung pera mo kasi kapag nakikita mong madami yung laman mas mafefeel mo yung urge na gumastos. Im also tracking my expenses and income. Wala akong spreadsheet but im using an app to track my money nakakasatisfy kapag nagtally yung nasa app ang yung nasa accounts ko

I use an app called expense manager so I can easily and immediately input expenses after spending. Then by day's end or after a few days I transfer everything to my spreadsheet. After years of tracking, I've come to a good balance of specificity and general categories. Appreciate the content. Good job. 👌

Can I just say I'm glad to come across someone who does a personal financial system like I do? 💕 2021 will be my 4th year of maintaining the system I built from scratch without any financial advisor's help (but better to seek professional advice 😉) From the multiple banking strategy, cash inflow system, to the expense tracker, and the annual financial review. Hopefully in the next year I could get into more income generating channels other than actively working (investments, for example). My first time to comment on a video and I think it's worth it! Love your content 🤗
