Steve Herschbach tells the story of his 6.53oz Goldnugget, found 2013 on Jack Wade Creek, Alaska. Steve talks also about his great career, which started with goldpanning as a child. It sounds like a modern goldminer tale, but a real one. It's really an inspiration to listen to Steve!

Hallo Schwendi, ein beeindruckendes Video - grosses Kompliment. Du hast Steve wunderbar zum Erzählen gebracht. Als regelmässiger Leser des California Mining Journal ist er mir natürlich ein Begriff - aber diese persönliche Erzählung war sehr berührend. Mit einem Goldsucherherz weiss man, wovon er spricht. Ich erkenne da viele Gemeinsamkeiten in Denken und Handeln. Ja, so ist das Leben: Ein Geschenk Gottes. Ich liebe Deinen dokumentarischen Videostil. Ganz grosse Klasse, goldige Grüsse, Victor PS: Würde auch etwas weniger Musik bevorzugen wie die Kommentatoren unten. Hie und da mal ruhige Episoden. Du hast jedoch super tolle kreative Elemente reingemixt, um die lange Erzählung zu illustrieren.

A great video with a great prospector - thank you, Schwendi. I had known from Bob Moriarty, that Steve had this "pay to mine" - camp at Moore Creek and looked for people to come with me for a visit there. Unfortunately I did not find anyone and did not go...Soon after Steve gave up that camp!

Awesome video! I met Steve randomly in Chicken while I was out trying to metal detect some of the tailing piles there. Great dude and forthcoming with help for the new prospectors. He took the time to share some stories with me while we were out there. Thanks for sharing.

Toll, ein echt kurzweiliges, interessantes Video ! Ich freu mich schon riesig wenn ein kleiner Flitter oder Krümel in meiner Pfanne auftaucht :-) Ich gönne es aber auch und freu mich mit Jedem, der ein prächtiges Nugget findet.

Herzlichen Dank, Peter. Ich fand Steve's Geschichte auch sehr faszinierend und interessant. Aber genausogut, bzw noch besser, finde ich Deine Einstellung, von der ich lernen kann. Ein Nugget nützt nichts, wenn man sich nicht daran freuen kann und man den anderen ihre Funde missgönnt. Deine Einstellung ist weiser und bringt langfristig mehr Zufriedenheit als der kurzfristige Kick bei einem Nuggetfund. Muss ich noch besser lernen 😇. Danke für Deine Inputs und einen schönen Tag 🤠👍

Thanks for making this awesome video! I just want to say I didn't really like the background music. I think it would be better without the music while you're talking but that's just my opinion.

Thanks for sharing this great sory, however, if You don't mind critque (which You probably doesn't....;- ), putting music over the interview was a big mistake.... -It simply isn't needed, the story was plentifully interesting....
