Here early for the bass tones. Rabea, this is probably the best song you've ever written. The epic section is the best piece of music I have heard for so long, it was a complete out of body euphoric experience.

@@JoshCastleTCMkeep listening to them. I also didn't like them a few years ago and i always wondered what the fuzz was all about and why so many people admire them. One day i decided to game and have their albums in the background for a week straight nonstop to analyze and point out what i don't like. Turned out that i got addicted, even though i didn't like the vocals at first. 3 days in and i became a HUUUUGE Karnivool fan. Skip themata and begin with Sound Awake. The overall mix and landscape is so much better then the dry and nu metal inspired Themata album. I can tell you, it is definitely worth it! Change, Deadman, Umbra, Goliath, New Day, such an amazing experience as soon as you get the grip

Also its interesting to hear how a mix just eats up the bits that are saturated, chaotic, and busy or have a lot of crazy high end and it really adds support to the dominant tracks in a huge way! Great job showcasing the features of the plugin! This video was awesome, I could watch this type of content all day! 🤘

I wish I knew just how important mixing and mastering is to the final product when I started recording. I think its something that alot of beginner guitarists / musician's overlook and get disheartened with there final product. alot of musicians seem to keep there mixing process secret so others can't replicate there sound. and then there's people like Bea who are an open book with this stuff. providing presets and the full chains as well as the reasoning behind why he's doing what he's doing. This and the JUSCOS stuff is gold dust to people looking to improve the overall quality of their music. Thanks for this man

True but by-in-large, there are no secrets anymore ; In the 90's and 2000's man, everything was a heavily guarded secret. I was fortunate to to get in to the AE work early and even stopped playing for 3 yrs but now am happy to have got back into guitar primarily.

There's no wrong or right way to go about mixing, your mix sounds great and that's all that matters. There's a million ways of going about things but I always tell people to use their ears and not eyes to mix, something that people often fall into. The one bit of advice I ALWAYS give is use a Hi Pass on every channel. This is something that isn't always heard as an EQ change per se, but is essential when it comes to having properly balanced low end and headroom for mastering.

Very cool and creative production. Love the mix as well. Just watched the current discussion about gain stageing for plug-ins that's been going on and noticed that you're coming in pretty hot (just not clipping) into your own Archetype. Makes me wonder how much there is to the current videos circling around as you'll be one of the few with not only an amp that you've been involved voicing but also your own plug-in version of it. Well and your extensive knowledge about producing hybrid in general. Would love to learn about your thoughts on the matter. Also... you're the Fuzzmaster. Holy fuzz-riff, those sounds with the synth are awesome.

Doesn't look like it. The Toms are just muted when they're not being played. And the Kick and Snare have ~60% samples blended in, so the cymbal bleed in those tracks is comparatively low anyways. Especially with that much room ambience in the mix.
