How I Organize My Washi Tape

Today, I’m excited to show you all how I organize my washi tape. I have a few different places where I keep my washi, but most of it lives in my office. I definitely find that if I don’t have it well organized, I don’t really know what I have... which means I just don’t use it or can’t ever find what I’m looking for.
Since we moved, I had a perfect change to totally reorganize my washi tape, so come along with me as I color coordinate my washi and get it organized again!
*Note: I recorded this when I was still pregnant a few months ago :) My sweet baby, Evie, is here now and almost 7 weeks old already! Time is flying!!

OH MY - WOW! I am new to the "Planner" community and just beginning to purchase stickers, washie tape, etc. I am amazed at the volume of supplies you have and the awesome organization you have! My husband thought I was over the top when I bought my third plastic sorter box for my washi overflow. I showed him this and he just shook his head and said, "it's a girly thing." Thank you for the divider ideas. I would have cried too had the movers done that to my washi. It was so satisfying to see the progress and color coordination. One day I will have drawers and a craft room that is all together. Thank you for the inspiration!

I love washi tape. My mom recently bought me some more Halloween washi and I love using it in my planner/journal. I would have cried if someone dumped out all that washi too! It's looks really beautiful reorganized though. I can't wait for an office tour☺

Here I am watching videos to try to figure out where to start because I do not have any washi tapes yet but I love bullet journaling and want to explore with washi. Saw the thumbnail and almost had a heart attack. I am in awe. 😍

Thanks for this video! I thought I HAD a lot of washi tapes.... you definitely have me beat! FUN FACT: When I first learned of washi tape a few years ago, I didn't understand the fascination... made the mistake of buying a few sample washi from Etsy and down the rabbit hole I went! I keep my washi in Disneyland popcorn buckets... LOL

Wow! I thought I had a lot of washi. Can't believe the movers did that. I have 2 Michael's bins and a Recollections cardboard box of holiday washi. I keep some washi's in pencil bags and a few in a bin on my table where I plan. I gave a few washi away to a colleague for scrapbooking. I gave 2 Mambi sticker books to a teacher friend. I've been on a use it or give it away mode since the beginning of summer. Your washis look so beautiful in the drawer. I am cut off from buying packages of washi. I only get 1-3 washis in my monthly Cocoa Daisy subscription which I have also pared down. That furniture is pretty nice although I don't think I have room for one. I may look into that in the future to have one place to store all my planning and crafting supplies. Thank you for the video!

Finally! Someone else who actually has a big washi tape collection. I see so many videos of crafters saying, "Oh, I have such a lot of washi!" and they have like 20 or 30....or less! Ffft! They think that's a lot??? Please. LOL :P Love how you got them all organized by color - it's beautiful to look at them like that. :)

Look at all that eye-candy !!! Woo Hoo !!! I love the silverware tray idea. I don't have any washi tapes, not even sure what to do with them, but I can feel it coming on. I've just bought 3 of those acrylic drawer units - they're on Amazon under the name deflecto (Don't have Michaels in the UK!), I have 3 stacked and they're fabulous. You have a LOT more washi than me lol

The construction paper dividers in the drawer are brilliant!! What an awesome idea! Stupid question, but I have to know: what happens if you buy more, say, red washi and there’s no more room in the red row? Do you shift EVERYTHING around to keep it all color-coordinated? Because I confess that my own OCD would probably accept nothing less.

I just got a good deal on more washi. I'm thinking of making the construction paper things for my drawers that I want my washi in. I have one of the 10 drawer carts. I was going to cut down foam board, but your way seems easier with the paper.

Well at least they dumped them into the bins and not thrown them out 😕. But daang, that's alot of washi. At last count, I had just over 100 and I told myself that I won't buy anymore until I am down to 30-40....wish me luck 😆
