i've been selling stuff for over a year and still have ways to improve packaging-wise, but i hope what i did or what i used in this video is helpful for when you're getting ready to mail that sale or trade ~

hello! i also recommend using a stick note or writing on a piece of paper onto your greeting card so that it can be reused with the person you’re trading with, this prevents waste and some people don’t keep their cards so it would go to waste. it will also help people save money including yourself if people you trade with also does it!

Adding a pill strip is a great idea! I'm definitely going to use that when I package my sales/trades in the future 👌🏽

hi! do you use a nonmachineable stamp? I was wanting to do stamped shipping instead of tracked but I’m confused on which stamps to use in order to avoid the machine processing my mail & getting chewed up. I use a hallmark card that I think is 5 x 7 and I only have USA flag forever stamps, would that be alright if I use 2 to cover up nonmachineable costs? or will going through the machine be alright if I ended up using 1 forever stamp?

Hopefully you see this but have you ever sent internationally? I tried to send a yellow envelope and the postcard was secured with cardboard on both sides to Canada from the US and they said it would be difficult and I would need like 4 or 5 stamps? I heard 2 if fine though haha. Any tips? :)

Hi! I’m a fairly new trader/seller so shipping still kind of scares me. Would I be able to send a mailer untracked through a post office box? I’m sure I’ll be able to keep it under 2 ounces, so do u think I can send it with 2 forever stamps?

i’ve seen and bought from people who have done that a couple times, but i just personally don’t take the risk because of weight + dimensions. i’m not totally sure on that one :( i’m sorry

hi! i was just wondering since you have to weigh the package before getting an accurate price, do you have the buyer wait until you weigh it to get a price or do you just have a general price for shipping? i hope this makes sense thanks !

i usually have a general price(s) that i add on for shipping! like if i know tracked shipping is going to be around $3.50, i round up to $3.75-$4 just to be safe

find any sort of plastic covering like a zip lock bag (if it fits) or maybe saran wrap!! then, secure both sides with a piece of some thick cardboard and tape. hope that helps

@@joongie3834 im not super sure as i may not be from the same country as you!! but i normally just do regular stamped letter mail, i buy some bigger envelopes so that it fits!

@@manvirnagra6209 this is a pretty late comment but adding for anyone new who may see it.. Be careful with ziploc bags!! It's great to protect the pc like this but be careful to not fold the zipping part onto the pc/postcard because it will cause damages(indents)!

holly jolly thanks...I’m selling items as well and I really wanna sell them on Etsy but no matter what payment method I put it keeps saying “payment not supported for onboarding” and I have no idea what to do.so anyone who is willing to help please let me know what to do😫😪
