How I Paint Simple Buildings and Urban Art 🖌️ Watercolour and Ink Sketchbook Tutorial

I'm back again with a quick and simple tutorial on how I paint buildings and urban art in watercolour! Today I'm painting St Etheldreda Church in West Quantoxhead, Somerset, England.
I've been experimenting with this style for a couple of years now, and even though I haven't yet perfected it, I wanted to show you the process that I go through to create architectural sketches. I hope at least some of this video could be helpful to you if you're learning how to paint with watercolour!!
By the way, I will be digitising my original sketch of St Etheldreda Church that I used in this video and adding the digital version to my Etsy store! This means that you can print out a copy of the same sketch and colour/paint along with me in this video :D

As someone who's still super lost when it comes to watercolor techniques, this video was really great to see! You've got so much control over the paint. I also totally feel your brief discussion on performance anxiety when the camera is on, it can really mess with my decision making process while working!

also the printable sketch is such a cute idea!! you could even make an entire coloring book at some point! 🥰

Thanks Kelsey! I'm glad I'm not the only one who starts to overthink everything when the camera's on!! I think I've got a little bit more comfortable as time's gone on, but I definitely need more practice with it to feel more comfortable - I was only thinking the other day that your idea of livestreaming your painting process would probably help with that overtime, have you noticed any confidence that's come from it? I've been meaning to catch one of your streams but just haven't found the time yet. :)

If you want to paint with me using the same sketch of the church that I used in this video, I've digitised the original sketch and will be putting it up on my Etsy store to purchase!
