Which level are you taking? Anyway, you still have a month to go so don't panic. Follow through the strategy that you've taken so far and you feel works best for you. The bottom-up approach works well for topics that you already have a fairly good understanding of, but if you are unfamiliar with a topic, you might want to do some of the basic reading first before going into the mock exams.

How I cannot pass level 3 for four times ? (I also got level 1 and 2 on first attempt, but every exam results goes wrong on the highest 3 level exam ) I study harder than most students and many so called correct answers are incorrect, just as GMAT how can you get wrong on every 30%-40% questions in exactly same way. I just attended CFA level 3 forth time again in December. One question on number of future contracts is overly easy with many variables are exactly “1”. I feel My performance is top level on the second attempt, however the level 3 exam results are always wrong for me. Just as GMAT exam results are always unbelievable. I am not guilty of anything, I feel there are invisible hands manipulating everything. It seems the world should hurt me reject me in endless way, I suffered too much in what human believed fair world. I am not guilty for such endless harming, but how should I change my subject again and again for such old age. When I as civilians who has nothing, I believed the world will allow the most diligent learner win upper level position through exams, until I got lower and lower score on GMAT exam and CFA level for over ridiculous 10 times, until I found many correct answers are in correct and many questions are not try to test on hardest part but to play tricks. Who can see whose level is higher ? Who are unreasonably always under qualified or who are collaborating cheaters ?

Hi Shini, I wouldn't worry too much about math. Most of the math is pretty basic, no one will ask you to solve the second derivation of a hyperbolic function. It's more important that you have common sense on how to calculate, let's say, by how much a particular investor gets diluted in a capital raise. This only requires basic math operations, but knowledge about cap tables. If you have a few years of work experience, it plays in your favor.

Thanks a lot for your video. I'm more interested in level 3 tips but that part was rather short :) You mentioned your learning method for both level 1 and level 2 (bottom up approach). What about level 3?
@cfatipsandtricks
@cfatipsandtricks 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Naval, A large share of level 3 is Portfolio Management and Wealth Planning. Most professionals who work in that field felt this is the easiest exam because they could draw on their practical experience. Therefore, in addition to what I mention in the video, I'd recommend you to get in touch with professionals in the field and talk to them how they apply theoretical concepts on a day-to-day basis. Ask fund managers e.g. how they manage risk and how they implement metrics. Talk to wealth planners on how they go about analyzing their clients' situation and construct portfolios. IMO this will give you a lot of insight that you cannot get from books or prep courses, which will help you to successfully formulate your answers to the essay questions. Good luck with your exam!

You said if someone is completly clueless, they should pick a letter and give them 33% percent change and not go random between a, b or c because that will decrease chances under 33%. With all the respect, I think it's wrong because all 3 letters have the same probability of occuring

Can someone explain why jumping between A,B and C reduce the 33% chance?
@cfatipsandtricks
@cfatipsandtricks 3 жыл бұрын
Let's assume the right answers are evenly distributed between A, B, and C, so 33% for each. If you choose to stick with B always, your chance to hit the right answer is 33%. Let's say you choose to circle A 50% of the time and B 50% of the time, your chance reduces to 50% * 33% = 16.5% to hit the right answer. If you choose to circle A, B and C each 33% of the time, your chance reduces to 33% * 33% = 11% to hit the right answer.

3 Steps to Millionaire Okay Ma’am so I want to know I am from Engineering background, I have started preparing for CFA L1, I am confused that if I give exam in Feb 2021 for L1, will I be able to prepare for Level 2 in August 2021 (in 5 months time)??
@cfatipsandtricks
@cfatipsandtricks 4 жыл бұрын
That depends on how much time you can dedicate to studying besides your normal life. Kaplan Schweser reports that on average, L1 candidates study 303 hours in total, L2 candidates 328 hours. I personally also found L2 a little more challenging than L1, as the vignettes allow for more complex questions. So if you have 5 months to study for L2, 328/5=65.6 hours per month, calculated with 30 days per month, it means you have to be able to dedicate 2.19 hours per day to study. Of course, these are average numbers, so in the end, it can vary from candidate to candidate.

3 Steps to Millionaire yeah right ma’am. Thanks alot!! Yes I can give 4hrs a day as well..one more thing, what if I study 1-2 subjects in detail before level 1 itself? It will help me to decrease the work load on those 5 months. Because here I have time. Which subjects should I go for??
@cfatipsandtricks
@cfatipsandtricks 4 жыл бұрын
If you have the time, definitely do it. I always recommend to get a really good grip on Ethical and Professional Standards, which has significant weight on any level. If you score high in this subject, even if your score is average in the other subjects, chances are higher that you still pass. Also, on L2, I found Financial Reporting and Analysis was heavily emphasized, but also other subjects that allow for rather complex calculations such as Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives. Possibly that's because vignettes allow for more comprehensive case studies.

I took the level 2 exam failed with very close margin in both once in 2019 and in 2021 may, i can honestly say its getting harder as my score for 2021 is much higher overall than 2019 and i was much better prepared, i really wonder what i could have done to push me through that 1 or 2 % ( by the scale, i think i am at most2 % away from passing both time)

Whats funny is that the papers are very expensive. And yet the passrate is sooo low

Feel free to compare the cost to an MBA here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j6qJaqWTlbbUoI0.html It is imperative that the CFA Instutite maintains the integrity of the pass/fail standards, ensuring that they remain uncompromised and not influenced by associated costs. This approach is crucial for upholding the quality and reliability of their assessments or products/services.

Can I get fake CFA certification? If I could get one then is it possible for my employer/company to get to know that I am holding a fake one?

Nice video! Only a small comment... Light year is a measure of distance no a measure of time. The phrase "it will take me light years" is not correct.

Thanks for the clarification 😊 just a phrase to exaggerate "years".
