This is very helpful, and congratulations! Really respect someone with a family who can organise their time so well. I sat FAR yesterday and I bombed- my second MCQ testlet was easier so the first section was not good. I walked out depressed. Now am in the process of figuring out a study strategy and will use some of this- a good point about the simulations- they really can ask anything. But I will still do them to help manage my time during the exam.

Honestly I felt that way my first exam. Just try to think of it as a learning experience. After my initial sadness, I tried to use my exam as a way to better study. I changed my study methods and then passed every exam after! Good luck!

@@SaraMarie incredibly I passed. After the exam, I started studying 2 days after thinking I failed and wrote 30 pages of notes from practice questions. Then I found out I scored an 81. I really thought I did terrible. Strange.

Im taking FAR January 2, like you said it’s really hard to be studying during the holidays 😫 I’m personally having trouble remembering formulas... I made really good notes throughout so I’m hoping memorizing them and doing a lot of MCQs will help. Love your channel!

When you went over multiple choice questions, did you mainly pull them from the progress tests in each chapter? Or from the final review?

I have a question for you. If you were doing this for the first time, would you still give yourself only 2 weeks to do the Final review? Or you think another 4 weeks, like you did the 2nd time?

One chapter a week is actually fast! I assumed you mean listening to the lecture, understanding material, and also doing all the MCQ.

Hi! I am about to retake FAR in December after I failed in July with a 68. It's the last exam I need to pass. I did however attempt it being back at work from maternity leave with a 4 month old. I just want to pass and be done with all of this.. I originally planned to leave myself 5 weeks but this week kind of slipped through the cracks so now I have 4. About how many multiple choice questions do you think you did in that time frame?

That was very helpful advice, thanks. I always thought we needed to concentrate on Sims. Questions for you: I know you did Becker online but do you know anyone who did in the classroom and how they compare, what's the real difference? I always expected to do it in the classroom but after hearing your experience, it sounds like online might be more flexible. Are the classroom lectures faster paced and more frequent than once a week? Do they allow you to bring water to drink DURING the test or you have to wait for the break? One of your first videos said they wouldn't let you take off your sweater... So what did you do the 2nd and 3rd time?

Most of my friends who studied for the CPA right after college did the 3 month Becker in class option. I think it’s called fast pass. Basically you intensely study all summer and you’re meant to pass within 3 months or so. I think most people like that so they can finish before they start work. I don’t know anyone who did the normal in class option but I would assume it’s similar, just not as fast. As for the other questions.. you aren’t allowed to have anything with you in the testing center besides your key for the locker (where you put all your stuff) and your ID. You have to wait to drink or eat until your breaks. I was able to wear a sweater but they do make you pull out your hood, pull up your sleeves and take out any pockets. I definitely recommend bringing a sweater because every time I’ve gone it’s been chilly in the testing room. Hopefully I covered everything. Let me know if you have any other questions 😊

ooh my dear is so great of you my dear.This is my own way I implement to study for my finals honestly. With every notes the professors will gave to the class I will come home and read and read every thing,the professor gave for that week. I will memorize them all.I thank God for one of my great professor he will give me 2 hours of his extra time to teach me everything he taught the class I find those class very cool.The time I am purpose to took my written finals i find it so smooth, this semester. One you tube is helping me so great to go over certain things. that I am doing in class now Your advice is so wonderful for us who are coming on you Tube frequently. so nice if you my dear.

Yenny Flores hi I can reply you get 2 dry erase sheets and markers if u finish them u raise your hand and staff will give u clean ones - the calculator is in the computer

Omg I lmfao at the testing center comment. I swear a qualification to work at testing center is easily annoyed and unfriendliness. I am sure they deal with a lot but still. I actually got one to laugh she was reciting the rules for water and what not - I said can you repeat that my brain is fried. Congrats again. Also random question I know you had mentioned other videos that your company offers flexible schedules is that for everyone and if no are there coworkers that are bothered by the flexibility

How many MCQs you did per day? How many days you did MCQs? I think you said aboutt 2 weeks but I want to be clear. I'm taking my exam in 4 days and Im struggling how to do more MCQs. When incorrect question, do you take long timeto review them in and out or just understand why correct then move on?

Nope! I’m a licensed CPA! I started my Etsy shop while studying for the CPA and quit my accounting job a year and a half ago to run my business full time. Best decision ever! And my CPA comes in extremely handy during tax time 🙂

This was really inspiring. I passed Audit and BEC with an 88 and a 90 but I always feel like I failed and cry after the exam lol. I’m taking FAR end of April but I also work full time and we’re working 12 hour days. Do you have any tips on how to manage a busy season, studying, and mental/physical health? I have panic attacks sometimes because I feel behind in studying and I’m going to fail.

Whatever you do, don’t go work for Deloitte, pay in Minnesota is $50k a year, benefits aren’t that good, and people are always competitive over each other. The turnover rate at the office here is also very high.
