I live in California And I'm going to Lincoln California for a horse show how much shavings do you put in for a 5 hour drive

Just enough for some cushion. I mostly use it to soak up the urine, but for a long trip like this I put a little extra down to help absorb the shock from the road. If it's too thick you run the risk of them not being able to get their footing.
