I'm probably a mediocre reader. I rarely reread books, don't keep notes, and am constantly on the search for something new.

It's so enjoyable to watch you slowly build up this castle of literature around yourself.

I genuinely feel that most of the people struggle to pick up the habit of reading and some of us who do, lose the interest in reading in midway due this very fact that we don't know how to read. Reading is essentially a personal and reflective process and everyone has a different way of engaging with it and unless we figure out our ways of doing it, we are bound to fail as a reader. Thank you for picking up this fundamental topic. It is a sort of validation that I am not the only one who has a different way of engaging with the books.

so helpful, ayesha! i think i wanted to hear exactly what you are saying with the context behind what you are saying. the narrative shift is so important to appreciate art and here, reading, i guess and to engage with more layers what we read. the more we sit with one narrative, the more narrower the possibility of possibility becomes. i am going to come back to rewatch this video just as a support. been dealing with a lot of tiredness mentally especially when it comes to reading. i don't do read as a chore but it feels harder because perhaps i am expecting unrealistic understanding just at the first go. thank you for sharing these thoughts with us. also, would you make a video talking about levels of book difficulty varying with genres and timelines and reading habits that come with it? not generally but about your experience and activity just like this one.

I am a little confused about re-reading a book. First, the constratint of time is there, indeed. I am an engineernig student in my third year, I have read over 4-5 books in this summer break, but now I don't if I will be able to even read much regularly, so how am I supposed to re-read even if I like a book so much?
