The only way to succeed in a twitch plays scenario is to set up a villain, or opposition. For Doug, it's either himself or the other half of chat. The 30% is a good start, but it's not sustainable to have 30% going against the grain

To be fair it’s not exactly a revolutionary strategy. Divide and conquer is a pretty obvious thing to do in these scenarios. And when it comes to dividing large amounts of random people into groups birthdays and names (whether it’s first names, surnames or usernames) are typically the go-to options. And birthdays tends to be more common as 12 has more factors than 26, so it’s easier to divide based on months than letters.

Not to get needlessly sappy over a funny KZfaq video, but when this entire challenge was being done live, I was going through a tough time in my life, and focusing a lot of my efforts into being in this chat and pushing Through this game really helped me with what I was going through, and also making friends with those who were also in the chat that week helped. I still talk with some of those friends today! So thank you mister Alpharad for inadvertently and unintentional making my life better ❤

This was innitially a race between a bunch of streamers to beat the first gym. Chicorita needs to be a higher level than cyndaquil and totodile to beat falkner, so chicorita is absolutely the wrong choice in that context. Not only that, but charmander beats brock when overleveled, misty is a challenge, but thats really it.

@@jamtone4492 only in FRLG because it learns Metal Claw. Still at a really bad disadvantage, but doable. In the original games though, you either needed to grind Charmander to the point of evolving it and then some, or get really lucky finding a Nidoran or Mankey on the route left of Viridian

@nataliecoronado4206 i would not recommend using metal claw on brock, their defense is too high with it being nonstab as well. Regardless of generation, use ember.

theres this one artist (if you know you know) who did a lot of ask blog type comics about the original few TPP run pokemon and characters (again if you know you know) i'm actually very close friends with that guy irl and since his stuff was largely held as "canon" within the more "lore focused" community of TPP he's always talking about how wild it is that hes a footnote in something so culturally significant like TPP (in the pokemon community at least)
