I come across things like this from time to time. This is a bit long and I probably should of made this a two parter but decided to have it all up before the Christmas holidays. I'm no expert at drywalling but I do get very good results when I'm finished. At least the customers are happy.

I just found you. Im working on my house and eating and sleeping youtube learning vids to correct some ugly and costly mistakes by "professionals" that were hired. Thanks. Im taking pics as I go. 🙂

Sorry to hear of the 'professional' mishaps. Not all 'professionals are professional and if they are, some simply take all the shortcuts or don't care or really don't know what they are doing. I was often told I was expensive, but they would never of had any issues what so ever. :) Thanks for commenting Denise and all the best on your future painting endeavors. :)

Great video, Rick. LONG but very informative. I never even knew about the difference between the base coat and the top coat. No wonder it was taking forever to sand!! I'm really glad to see you doing well with your channel. You've come a long way. Merry Christmas and I hope 2015 treats you well!

I have a question. How do you paint a wall you can't reach that is over one of my cabinets? Can't reach to tape it off and I don't want paint getting on my ceiling. Appreciate a response. By the way new subscriber. God bless!

Oh wow So Blessed, that's a tough one. I'm afraid there isn't any easy option. These kind of tricky places are where good cutting in skills come in handy. I suppose if you use a broad knife (very wide like scraper that plaster board finishers use) hold that up next to the ceiling and cut in with your brush, that may work. You'll have to clean off the blade every time you get paint on it. If you haven't seen my video on how to cut in, it may help in this situation. Yea, sorry bout that. Some of my very first videos. Seems tho, most of the one with issues with audio are on mobile phones. Maybe try viewing on a laptop or pc? Just a thought, it has worked for others. All the best :)
