Hey Andi, I think you left a very key segment of this video. Tell us HOW you earned this much returned/interest in just a year because your video is very high level but doesn’t go into detail - caption and description is also a bit misleading if you not willing to share that crucial part of the journey. I also trust that you are credible so I don’t think you will have a problem sharing this…

I saved 190k and also a massive achievement ❤ for me the biggest thing was finding other ways of making more money . I feel like no amount of cutting back and cancelling subscriptions will help. May I ask what the goal for your savings is ? Anything in particular?

Well done! That is a massive achievement indeed. Totally agree, finding multiples streams of income has been a big unlock for me as well - there’s only so much you can cut back but there is no limit to how much money you can make. I have no specific goals either than setting up a life I can be proud of.

She said by building savings from her salary and investing it. She also mentioned that she was building this years savings from the ones she already had last year. Then rinse and repeat the same process she used last year because last years savings was already there as capital. You didn’t hear that in that whole video? 🤔

You made R9000+ from a R12000 investment/savings in a year? Which compound interest is this from? Even RSA Bonds do not give such returns

Like I said in the video, these are longstanding accounts with existing funds within them, ie. while I only put R12k into the account in 2023, that isn’t the only money that was in the account. The whole point was to illustrate that if you hold and grow your principle investment over time, you can start to make significant yields from interest, hence my advice to automate, lock and leave your money to grow.

@@AndiXaba Now I get and I agree with you I was a bit confused as I'm in Accounting and I know how this things works Please share which investments platform you use, especially those who are risk free. On my side I use RSA Bonds from National Treasure and fixed accounts from three different banks

Thyme bank fixed deposit gives 11% per year. And they have low to zero fees if you ask me I hardly get bank charges there.
