I have the 136, the dealer told me not to use the handles as tie downs, Was advised to go under the handles across the kayak .I do that in the back and run one across at the front. Load my cart where you do don't (but should) tie it down. Just got back from 2nd time out, love it so far. Im old and it is heavy.

Thank you for that. I have a 22' Nissan frontier pro 4x, crew cab, with a 5ft bed, and 7ft with my tailgate down. I do have the tonnneau cover, as well. I have my 23' Oldtown 120 pdl. And my state has a 6ft hang over law. So I'll try just that.

Hey Anthony! With a 5 ft bed, I’d go with a bed extender. My truck bed is 1.5 ft longer for the same kayak length. If you’re definitely not going to use a bed extender, I would add a strap to the front handle at a minimum.

@@WannaFishAllDay Thanks for the info. Yeah you're right, and I think I will go with the extender. My friend has his, and it's nice to have. All my starter kayaks were 10.5 ft' 24" doesn't sound like much until you unbox it, and it's a beast. Lol. Stay safe bro. 🙏 🌊 🎣
