I am considering going into Samsung ecosystem. I have always been an Android comfortable user and rather not change that. I want to upgrade from Xiaomi devices since they do fine but software and os are kind of poor to me. I wouldn't change to Apple unless there is a huge advantage that would overcome the cons for me. Do you believe Samsung is as functional and complete? I think soby now at least

@@jording1443 It's suitable for my needs, and many things do have parallels to Apple, but not entirely, since Samsung does not have its own full OS ecosystem. Where Apple can integrate its different operating systems very tightly and deeply, Samsung can not do this to the same extent, as they basically just customize Android and Windows. Samsung Dex is pretty good on tablets for having a laptop-like experience, but again, it's still Android underneath and can be limited by this. Plus, I greatly value platform independence, and using an ecosystem's native apps would tie me to that ecosystem. So for pretty much everything, I just use non-native apps. Task management? Todoist. Taking notes? Obsidian. Handwritten notes? I would probably use Excalidraw in Obsidian at this point. Or an independent app like Noteshelf or Goodnotes, rather than Samsung Notes. File management and storage? Pcloud. Email? I do use their stock app on my phone and tablet (Galaxy Tab S7) but have mostly switched to Proton Mail. Plus, I rarely actually sent emails for those devices, I prefer doing so on my PC, I mostly just checked my emails and maybe did some light maintenance like deleting or archiving mails. Thus, for the most part, I can not really give any substantive advice on the Samsung ecosystem. The only feature I really used was how easily their mobile devices would link up with my Samsung Galaxy Buds, which are recognized even if Bluetooth isn't activated, and it will ask if I want to connect and if yes it activates Bluetooth. It will also easily switch between your Samsung devices, similar to Apple. Oh, and for their tablet, their stylus works pretty good. Might not be on par with Apple, but definitely a good alternative. But that is pretty much all I can say with any confidence.

Modes and routines has a lot of options, but as you said it has limits
