Penny sleeves are preferred over the sleeves you used. Penny sleeve is less likely to damage the card when removing it for grading etc..

@@soldbyronnieI second this. I’ve heard that those types of sleeves aren’t meant to be used on their own if you want to use it for protection. Usually an inner sleeve is recommended if you want to use those etb sleeves if you really want full protection

I agree no tape! I would rotate one of the cardboard pieces 90 degrees Tue add extra strength

You can envelope it for far cheaper and still take measures to make sure its safe

You can but you take on the risk of an expensive card being damaged or lost in the mail without tracking. Standard envelope shipping via eBay is only good for items up to $19.99 and it includes basic tracking.

I've only ever had this happen once and it was a bulk order on TCG player. With that many cards, you are going to run above the 3oz limit for stamped mail, so you would just need to send it via USPS ground advantage.

Pick up some card saver 1s. Saves the card from.moving around like it would with a top loader.

Just a random one I got in the mail. Don’t pay for boxes. The dimensions of that box were around 6x4x2. Any box will work though!

Nothing personal, maybe in the weird one. But anytime I’ve received anything from eBay, & there is a plastic bag inside for “protection” I hate it. There’s something weird about it to me. It feels like I’ve just received someone’s garbage.

In Canada we have paper bags or expensive clothe bags at every large corporation because plastic bags are 'damaging our environment', which didn't solve much with all the plastic candy bar wrappers and Pepsi cans. It's an odd luxury to find a plastic bag at a grocery store.

Definitely! I like the added protection of a box but as long as you use cardboard like I showed in the video, a bubble mailer works great as well!

The one in the video was 6x4x2. I just use whatever I have on-hand. I've never paid for boxes :)

It was a box that I got from a shipment from a purchase I made. I’ve sold thousands of items on eBay and TCG player and I’ve never paid for any boxes.

@@andybigboy When I was out of boxes, I just went to my local Dollar General and they gave me as much as I wanted. Might try that or if you don’t have a DG in your area, any grocery store should be able to hook you up 👍

Yes, eBay standard envelope has tracking. It isn’t super accurate, but it does provide delivery confirmation which is awesome. It’s saved me a few times.

To each their own...if I'm receiving an expensive card I'd like to see it shipped in a box. We are not talking about a big difference in cost to ship a small box vs a bubble mailer.

I’m not a pro. I’m not Amazon. Margins are slim and at the end of the day the buyer is thankful for a protected card more than anything.

I'm not a pro either, but I'd recommend it, you're going with a great look with the card, and packing until you get trash bags, or a giant roll of packing paper would look cleaner and could result in more customer retentionand rebuys,

Tape is harder to get off compared to rubber bands for me. Just a personal choice.

@@blueicer101 yep I only sell Cards on eBay that are $5 and up these days to give me a little more peace of mind on those more expensive singles. Tcg player for everything else and just a regular stamp.
