In this video I am showing how to paint a portrait painting in acrylic colors. This is a easy to understand step by step tutorial demonstration with illustrative details. I am using only water mist to keep my paint moist in my palette. No retarder is used in the entire process.
I have started this painting with a layer of crimson, orange, cadmium yellow lemon and a pinch of white. Then, I have applied many thin layers to achieve the desired effect of the skin tone and the effect of transparent cloths. Most of the blending is done with dry brush technique with minimal water on the palette.

I looked coz I wanted to make one such of my son by my own. Your art work is awesome. But please Debojyoti either change the background music with something soft or decrease its volume which is not subtle. i heard through ear buds and auhhh.

Sir! Can one use only this particular brush from blending/shading or any brush can be used? And how do you understand which colour to mix for different shades? Coz. I alwaz get confused in that!

It depends on your working style and the result you want out of the painting. It's completely up to you. I usually prefer white bristle flats and round for my Acrylic works. Those are stiffer and holds color well as I desire. I usually start from broad brushes then shifted to smaller one later. Hope you getting my point.
