Love your videos queen, there's so little anthropology content that's down to Earth and relatable, so I really appreciate you putting the time in to make these each week! I'm gonna share ur channel with the other anthro and soc majors at my university. Thanks girl!

Hey Alivia, hope you are doing good. How to beak this question " Describe distinction between techniques, method and methodologies". Thanks in advance

Thanks :) Wow great question-I'd have to think about this before coming to a strong conclusion but in the mean time, I do have a video out on anthropology research methods! Is this Q for a course?
@hamzaabbas4386 Жыл бұрын
@@AliviaBrown Yes, the other part of the question is about the tools of anthropological research methods.

@@hamzaabbas4386 when your research will be done applying one more methods then it will methodology and if apply only one method, then it methods.

Hii,discovered your channel just recently,loving your aura ^^ There's just this question that's been on my mind since forever; what is Anthropology's stance on human instincts? Are they recognised in modern science? Doubt them after getting into an argument on topic,but don't know books/studies I can read

Hi!! Thanks so much for the support :) And gosh what a wonderful question. I think instincts are absolutely a part of anthropology but I would argue it gets even more specific than just human "instinct." For example, for many people and cultures, it is instinctual to feel disgust towards reproducing with close kin-in anthropology, this is usually examined through research on "disgust" rather than "instinct" (of course how culture goes into this is looked at as well). Additionally, in dangerous situations people may have instincts to run away. In biology and anthropology, this is looked at more specifically as well and is often regarded as "fight or flight" rather than instinct. Does this make any sense? Long story short, usually anthropologists move beyond instinct and examine human instincts based on situation and context :)
