I absolutely LOVED making this video today. Studying my Bible used to be a burden and no fun at all until I learned how to properly study it. I can say now that every day I wake up eager to pull out God's Word and read, and that's all that I want for you! If I can do it, you can DEFINITELY do it too!

My husband and I started a prayer book of all the prayers that we prayed for our daughter before she was born and now that she is here, we still write prayers in it. Our plan is to give it to her at graduation. We’ve prayed for her health, husband, children, fertility, wealth, ministry, gifts and talents, etc

LaLa Smith me too, my mother passed away when I was 11 from a stroke/heart attack so I want my daughter/ children to have something tangible from me with my handwriting and thoughts and prayers

I like colored pencils to highlight my bible while studying. I just got a new bible and I plan to use certain colors pertaining to certain subjects this time. I'm am only child (so I guess by default I inherit my parent's estate). My Mom asked me if there was anything in particular that I wanted to inherit. She and my father sometimes give away possessions to people whom they think would really like the item, so she didn't want to give away anything I really wanted. I told her the only thing I wanted was her Bible. She is a true Bible student and her notes are plentiful. But, as you said, I really want it because it's in her thoughts in her handwriting. For a Mom to pass on her love in that way is so special. You're kids will treasure them!

Apparently my dad’s side of the family has a family bible with a family tree I’m in but I’ve never seen it because my Dad isn’t really religious. My mum’s side of the family isn’t religious at all. I’m a bit weird in my family for this.

My mom gifted me a bible for Christmas 2 years ago. She went through it in a year & wrote little notes here & there for me. It’s the Bible I use everyday & the most special gift anyone has ever given me. ♥️

Amazing!! I am the same way, 26 with 3 kids and I have so many bibles that I read daily! And fill up with my own handwriting! I recently got gifted an 1900 bible. It was just the New Testament bible but it has notes and highlights and circles and arrows just like we do today! .. and this women wrote in it that she was the third child and she was born in 1872! So so amazing!!!!!!

I was for sure discouraged when reading i just didn't understand. But over time before I would study and I would pray that the holy spirit would guide my hands and my heart as I wrote or as I colored. And every time I read I started to understand more and became more and more in love with the lord. Also the second bible you mentioned is great but I also like "The Beautiful word bible" very similar with similar illustrations and is a kjv for people who like more traditional versions. Awesome video. God bless😊

I've been a Christian for years and I just haven't felt the motivation to study consistently but I love journaling and this method just makes it so easy to understand. I was so blessed by your video and study methods. I tried the journaling method you spoke about and because I am not a good artist and couldnt put what I had in my mind on paper I struggled with journaling. I started studying how you showed in this video and it really helped me to focus on His Word instead of what it should look like on paper. I would get discouraged and found myself stressing about it instead of enjoying it if that makes sense. I love God's Word. I have begun a prayer journal as well and its helped tremendously. I love the idea of writing in different bibles to hand to your kids later.

I have my great grandmothers and although she didn’t write much it in it, it’s so very special to me. I just ordered she reads truth in rose gold with gold edges then found your video the next day. My oldest daughter loves gold and anything fancy so I know what I’m doing with my new Bible when it comes in 😊 Thank you!

Thank you for making this video. Even at 50, this was truly a blessing to me. I have always been a little fearful of approaching how to study the Bible. I would rely on memory verses from when I was a girl, and simply read the scriptures, but not always understanding. I started your process and it is already making such a big difference. I was fearful of different versions because of so many different Christian theologies, that I only ever read the KJV. I am using your method and am growing even more in my walk with God each day.
