I just recently decided to embrace my curls after fighting them for most of my life! (I am 61) Not only did I embrace my curly hair but also my grays. It's so liberating. *It's me accepting myself as God made me.* 😊 I have discovered that I actually love them! I am also growing my hair out from a pixie cut. I appreciate these types of videos through my journey because this is all new to me. I can't wait until my hair gets as long as yours. Anyway tfs!

Alternating the direction that you spiral each section of bangs is genius! I've wanted to go back to layers for a long time but dreaded trying to get the bangs right. I am sure your idea will help and I'm inspired to finally get my hair layered now. My hair was much thicker (and denser) when I was younger and was easy to get my bangs right, but now it's thinner and I didn't want to end up with bangs that just hang limp. The bobby pin trick is also a great idea, as lots of others have mentioned. Thank you! Love your videos, just discovered them and been watching them all evening!

You are such a goddess. ♡♡♡ At 45 (43 in photo I'm tring to grow out a pixie I've had since age 38 (which I rocked). My hair is very much like yours but I think you have more hair. I'm past the Mullett stage (sorta). It's a daily struggle not to chop it off. I'm red now with Henna. I'm hoping it doesn't loosen my curls. It's not quite long enough to wear curly yet without looking like hobo Ronald McDonald. The struggle!

I really wanted to get bangs last time I went to get my haircut, but my hairstylist seemed to think that the bangs would look too choppy because supposedly I've been wearing my hair up too much and making my hair too thin in front. This would be great if my bangs were uniformly curly - but I have about a 2" wide section over the left side of my forehead in which the hair is perfectly straight. The rest of my hair, including the other side of my bangs are nice, big, bouncy curls. Even my stylist struggles with them. I used to blow dry my bangs all straight, but I'm really sick of that look since I've had it forever. Are there itty bitty curlers I could put in that one section? I've tried putting pin curls in - like from the 1950s, but I don't seem to understand the technique. LOL Any suggestions from anyone? (And in case it wasn't clear, my hair is naturally curly. I'm not going to perm.)

When you first went curly did you have a hard time gettin curls back in your bangs and did you have to grow them out first? I've been embracing my girls for a while oh, but I still have bangs that I pull straight because I just can't get Curl in them and they are too short at the moment.
