@Liz Skelton As an individual that fully understands - at one point likely having run into the Narrator in real life due to our career choices at the same time - that no one, who has not been in combat, can relate to being in a combat situation. Thus it shouldn't be surprising that an individual not only cannot relate, but as they're likely surrounded by others who cannot relate... the topic is never even broached in their lives to consider. I don't say this to, somehow, elevate myself and other veterans of wars. I cannot relate to child birth, nor will I ever. Other's lived experiences are all wholly unique. Though it is true, on a level that every combat veteran that I have ever met - from my own great grandfather, grandfather, father, mother, uncle, and numerous former platoon mates, battalion, on up - our experience of _being in combat,_ despite differences in locale and other specifics, is universally the same. I suppose there are other such situations that are the same, really. However, as I was initially saying - don't be surprised that Kevin did not understand what those in combat experience. Hope that he never does, honestly. If no one ever had to have that experience again the world would be a Utopia in a matter of weeks.

Actually, in warzones there's often enough trash, expended brass, and possibly debris that it's almost like that anyway. It got to the point where simply getting a metal hit wasn't enough to call EOD, you had to then actually get down, dig, and expose whatever you found to confirm it was an IED before they'd bother coming to clear it out for you. Also, the thing in the video about them shooting it was true in the early 2000s but later around 2010, SOP changed to where you couldn't simply blow stuff in place because EOD needed to be able to study whatever the IED was made of because just blowing them up meant you couldn't really study things to get a better idea of how they were making them. So no more safely blowing the stuff up at a distance, you had to have someone go dig it up, and then wait 6-24 hours for them to come "interrogate" the thing before they'd blow it up their way.

@@flyoptimum but again we have to thin that the reason the Bradley is there is to get the VIP more armor protection. Most likely because the MRAP is still in the shop and the Bradley could hold off any reinforcements. They also dont kniw if their are any civilians in the target house. And they dont want a big gun like that destroy all the other houses around because people live there and it's a loyal town. And who wants to spend resources building the town back up. Also the VIP was wanted alive.

I would say, 1 american hit justifies the use of all assets available... yet they tell us to go full send with all possible assets with every mission to ensure victory. The leadership of this mission were obviously new.
