Mr. Beast missed an opportunity with his video. I saw his and was like "cool, that was interesting," but seeing this, the behind the scenes was WAY more involved than I thought! He glossed over the craziest part of the challenge! I assumed all the stuff was mostly pre-built and he just spawned everyone in with diamond armor. Seeing the prep and teamwork over the course of a day was insane! Would love to see more like this.

ive played in a couple civilization events like this one before (much lower profile of course) and the thing about your background of a school teacher helping to organize people is honestly so true, when you have that many people in a discord call playing minecraft its a near impossible task to make sure everyone is doing something useful

If only you could use arrows in this. That would have made any attack on your base a living hell for the enemy.

I would've suggested having a small team dedicated to wall repair, I think it would've increased longevity massively as from what I saw here, the more people attacked you the easier it became to get in.

If projectiles worked on the server I can guarantee that your team would’ve won. A mixture of projectiles and water would’ve been a nightmare for the enemy teams.

I feel like this was actually way more interesting than the actual video up on MrBeast's channel, Fit truly is a master of storytelling. Even though I already knew the outcome I was still invested. MrBeast's video made it feel like a fun little challenge, Fit's video made it feel like an all out war, I love it!

Hey Fit I’m curious, were you spam-clicking whilst attacking in the hopes of just repelling the enemy as opposed to doing damage? Or was there a plug-in that enabled pre-1.9 pvp?

"Use the ocean as a natural barrier." Wait a second, didn't the allies similarly thought about that only for the Germans to push thru the Ardennes anyways? Well at least Fit tried his best not to repeat that mistake.

This was great. Wish it'd would have been a bit longer with more of the team building evolved.

This challenge finds me sorta of skywars but on the ground and more complicated and It was more focused on defense and building instead of preparing for head on battle for a few minutes until the bridges spawn and everyone just have at it at eachother. Reminds ms of when I sucked hard at that game I wasost always first to die as soon as the time was up and it was time to fight. This sound like such a fun thing to do tbh.

I watched the video and honestly cheered for your team. The defense was impressive and you managed to withstand a joint attack by 3 nations! Chapeau

Great challenge and great approach! I think that the walls could be like a chess table, having obsidian intercalating with the rock. So if the other team managed to reach at the top, it could be harder just break blocks below they to down to the base, bc each 1 block would have an obsidian.

I'm still curious how everyone coordinated so well with the builds. (see "I Forced 150 Players to Simulate a Minecraft Civilization" for an example where people just do random things and the bases look crappy) Like how do you make an army of people build something uniform/smooth?

8:38 u couldve used an enderstasis chamber with an item shadowing. whenever you are low, drop any item which is shadowed into a chest. when the chest detects that ur item left ur inventory, it activates a trapdoor in an enderstasis chamber

i was in ice team, but unfortunatly i had mcbirken as my leader. McBirken banned like 20 people from our team without any reason at all. And ofcoure i was one of them... The reason i got banned was because that i was the first to get diamond armour... so ofcourse, they scammed me for my armour and then banned me... It was still fun during the test regardless. GG!

I actually watched that video before this came out i was so nervous and wanted fit to win, also its nice to see fit talking about something other than 2b2t

Would love to see Mr. Beast do this event in rust, I feel like the big bases and the group on group waring is perfect for rust. Would be interested to see how non rust players would assemble their bases and strategise as a team.

This challenge was so hard, I am amazed by how you managed to pull this one off, that said I have some interesting ideas in my head. It'll be a pretty big comment, mainly explaining the idea takes a while... Yet, I am amazed by how well this went. Congrats man, you deserve a ton of likes (at least) for this. By what I see, Fit... If my knowledge over this challenge is up to the challenge itself, and with all due respect, there was a better way to make an ocean base in here (I am an enthusiast of ocean bases). I could be wrong if there was a specific block to protect that forced you to make it on the surface, so if that was the case... Disregard my idea. You could have built it in the below the water (probably would have been harder to find, and if done well, it would have been a pain in the backside for every single raider since mining in water can be so hard), it would have taken longer in some areas but probably would have been balance since it would make getting iron/diamonds far easier since you are in an underground base with water above you (of course, you'd need swimming boosts in headgear to prevent water drowning if the teams somehow managed to go through the defenses). It would be certainly extremely hard to pull it off, but probably as hard as it was to make the base on the surface. Maybe you could have taken one page from Bachi's book and make a massive water wall (instead of lava wall) surrounding the base if you had enough time for that (With a massive group, it sounds feasible [Not by much margin, but still feasible]). At least it would have deterred most teams of even trying to attack your base until they had enough allies to go after it (Which would have worked well with stalling and letting the other biomes waste their strength). That said, this is just my opinion over it (even if I believe you did it wonderfully here).

4:20 Ok that is some next level stuff, that actually blew my mind, good job to whoever worked on that

One thing I thought of. It would have helped to put water around the outer wall out past the mining distance to slow player's ability to mine through the walls. Pretty much bringing the ocean right up to your walls. I think an inner cantilever on the top of the inner wall may have helped, too. With the outside all but impenetrable, it made sense to dig down the walls. With a cantilever, they would have dug straight down and fallen. Lava may also have helped, but then again water buckets may have done that in and you guys didn't have a lot of access to lava. Just some thoughts.

This was awesome! Even with 6 teams next to you instead of 3, you ended up beating 3 teams.

I actually don't think ocean is worse than the others, you don't need to flatten out the area to build and you can also simulate a "floating city" with pillars to the bottom of the sea if you want to throw some realism. You just need a way to dig to the underground for materials and that's it, you're good to go. I'm actually a fan of island base building myself, so that location is just paradise for me... so much potential man! Good times!

Won't lie thanks to Fit i decided to give minecraft a shot. I even sat in 4+ hours of queue to play 2b2t. Got outta spawn after many failed attempts. Alas dieing of hunger was the number 1 killer for me. Ima keep at it tell i can actually make a bed somewhere one of these days. Its cool getting to see that server in person I gotta say especially as a super greenhorn to minecraft. Actually escaping spawn was a personal achievement

These nation and war temporary server events sound fun. Wish i could join but I havent played vanilla since 1.6.4 so its likely i wont know what I am doing xD
