Beautifully shot, starting with the opening image I'm always encouraged by your continued and very personal growth in how you are choosing to exist in the world. This channel could easily be called A Small Wardrobe for a Full Life. (Also love your How to Style channel.)

I can definitely relate to needing to integrate/accept in my 40’s seemingly opposing preferences of mine e.g.: loving the city AND the country, loving wearing a neutral practical capsule wardrobe AND loving wearing a precious glam outfit - then needing both - then making space for them. And I think that’s a beautiful thing to do in your 40’s, to make space for ALL of you. That’s when I discovered the concept of a “virtuous mid-life crises,” which may or may not apply to you. I only mention it here because I really love and respect how the generations coming into their mid life are choosing to be more proactive about their mental health, their quality of life, and managing their expectations about aging instead of being blind sided by turning 40 and then spending their children’s college fund on a luxury sorts car. Or having an affair. (*No offense to Gary, college isn’t for everyone.) Tangent aside, I’m so happy you are making more room in your wardrobe for YOU and how you want to show up in the world. Happy travels around the sun 💜

I knew the quotation about play from a class on play and philosophy, looked it up and apparently it was an academic called Stuart Brown, who studies play, creativity and intelligence. Possibly the best job in the world haha. Love the footage where your face is blurred by rain on the window!

I love this direction, it’s all about creating a beautiful wardrobe for a life. Instead of following a wardrobe formula, I am learning the elements needed for me to create my own small wardrobe, catered to my life. Also love watching the landscape of Western Australia.

The message of this video is something I honestly need to hear and hold onto more consistently. My life does not have to revolve around just one particular thing or person. I also feel as if my focus as of lately has been too attached to everything else that's going on around me. Questioning these things, I realize, does not help me, but the loneliness that I feel because of the path I'm trying to forge for myself really makes it hard. Perhaps this is a sign that I need to either change, or to just take things in smaller steps and stop listening to my critical inner voice...

All my life I craved that hair volume, but my hair has always been flat, without volume. But extremly soft and smooth. Guess we cannot have everything perfect 😂 but I realized the secret is in accepting yourself as you are and that's true freedom 😊🌟✨

I've started reading a book called "wired for music" by Adriana Barton. It's been very enlightening for me. I think this biological concept could apply to all form of Art. I thought music and arts/visuals were superficial and for a while I was questioning what was the point of what I was doing . Now I see it's a biological needs and probably the key for why humans evolved so far. I agree with your great eye and keep following because whatever you do or the subject is, your videos just have something special(you), they are always interesting to look and listen to 😊.

I’ve always felt self conscious at the gym, but I’ve enjoyed going to a Zumba type class that was available free every Tuesday afternoons until Covid messed up gatherings. Not sure if they meet anymore since now we do family night on Tuesdays. (Pizza and board/card games!) I have found dance workout videos on KZfaq that I can put on the TV in the living room to follow along, I just have to become consistent with that. I love the idea of getting those exercise mirrors. Tonal for weight lifting, and the Lululemon one for other exercise and dance workouts. Love that they’re space saving, and they seem like a good investment. :)

Transformation is good we cant all stay the same day in and day out. Great job embracing those changes and still going with the flow. Take care and give Gary a head scratch for me.

I like the quote: “Play is the work of a child.” I think at some point we kind of lose that sense of propriety to it. There’s a balance between too much self love and burnout from overworking ourselves, and I think “play” is a huge factor in being mentally healthy and happy. One of my favorite activities is playing with my kids, we get a good dose of dopamine when we can get some good laughs. ❤
