It was when he was nesting in the palm of my hand. He likes to do that when I get home from work. I cup my hand, and he kind of squats down in it, and kind of shifts from side to side, like he's making himself comfortable. It's really funny. I'll see if I can record him doing it.

I'm sure he did! Isn't that wonderful! Good luck getting a video of that. My bird will talk & chatter - till I turn on the video. Then he just stops.

Hello I have a conure too he is 12 weeks old and I don’t think ur meant to be getting a conure or any bird under 12 weeks old idk if I’m right or wrong but I contacted a vet and I asked them what age can u get a conure or a pet bird and they said over 12 weeks old I’m not trying to be a Karen but I don’t know if I’m right or wrong :))

I got mine when 1 week old and now she/he is 4 yrs old

LOL. That's funny. I think the only words my kids taught Trello were "peekaboo," (although nobody is sure who actually taught him that) and "boppy birdy." Everything else, he just picked up from our interactions with each other.

​@@rolldemtrees7419 Yes it was a tragic accident. We lost 2 birds that day because we had a oven liner that was made of teflon. We got ride of all of our non stick pots and pans years earlier but we did not know about the oven liner. Telfon should be outlawed because very dangerous. He was upstairs rooms away playing on his playground with the other birds... It was tragic and I a very hard lesson to learn...We were lucky we did not lose the entire flock. We have 2 more conures and they are doing great... It was tragic and i can't stress enough that nonstick teflon is sooo dangerous and the birds will die without warning... It was a nightmare!!!!!

Sorry, Twin. It just occurred to me that I failed to answer your question. I bought Trello at Petco in Washington, UT in December of 2014. He was only about 5 months old when I bought him, so he was still pretty much a baby.

Trello is male. We had the vet do the DNA test. But that brings up another point. From research I've done, it seems that males are more prone to talk than females. Of course, that's not a hard, fast rule. I used to have an African grey that was female, and she was a chatter box. Every bird is different.

You have to have a DNA test done by an avian vet.

They will often be more cuddly if female and have a different curve on their head they will also be smaller typically but if u want the true conformation than dna test
