Sometimes it does…sometimes it doesn’t; and this isn’t usually something done in secret by one partner. Relationships and marriage take effort by both parties, and if OP is going thru something similar to what I am, then they’re burnt out by putting in so much more effort than their partner and left feeling neglected and constantly lonely while with their partner who never takes their needs into account and if they do they expect some kind of gold medal and a parade.

But isn't that the problem? We're all on a clock, yes us men have more time, and we need to find our partner before it's too late even if it inconveniences us. I get what you're saying: thinking about it stresses me out too since I'm already 29 but we have to think rational and stop wasting time. I wish it was still easy like it was in school where we all wrote on the same story. With all these dating apps it seems like an impossible task. I feel we're going about it all the wrong way. In the past there were traditions that "forced" people to write on shared stories also after graduating. We need to find similar things again now that religion is gone. We need to force ourselves out of our comfortzones now and I don't think clubbing and partying is the solution for the vast majority of people. Maybe it's stuff like workshops or going on planned trips with organisations with random people of similar age groups. Idk. I think going through a shared experience is the way.
