I just implemented a physical checklist. I used to just glance at the checklist on my phone but physical copy is the move! God is good. 🙏
@scykotic
@scykotic 2 жыл бұрын
In regards to something you could implement. Since you have checklists and a garage already, have the team at the end of the day fill out the checklists for each van and move empty bottles/ dirty rags/ and things that need replacing to a specific place in the garage. Then if you have someone that works the garage/store every day, have them come in an hour earlier than the team, and go through the check list for what each van needs. They can then refill bottles, get replacement towels and tools ready, and manage anything else that may need to be taken care of for the vans. This way, when the team comes in, they grab the check list, review that everything needed is ready, and load up and go. Since everything they need will be out ready to pick up from one location in the garage, you reduce the running around first thing in the morning when things are more likely to be left behind. This can lead to better inventory control in the future if you need to implement it as well.

You might want to do a “vehicle” checklist for both your work vans and customers vehicle. For example on a customer vehicle do a walk around the vehicle and note any damage etc.. your work van same thing do a walk around report any damages starting/end mileage, gas usage etc…

The best pro tip I can think of of this: you can easily get carried away with the different amount of products out there...so try to have only a few products that give you multiple uses so you don't get inundated with a ton of products. Examples: Superclean: Diluted 4 to1 for tires amd wheels Diluted 5 to 1 for interior cleaning Diluted 10 to 1 for non tinted glass and surfaces with white lettering Mags syn spray wax: Great for exterior Also works well on interior glossy trim peices Mags hyper dressing Diluted 1 to 1 for exterior trim peices and tire shine Diluted 3 to 1 for satin finish for interior dressing and leather seats Diluted 4 to 1 for matte finish for interior amd leather This way only a few products can be used in multiple ways with various dulituin ratios. Hope this helps

Been watching your videos for a while now and love to watch you (and your business) grow. One thing I keep wondering every time I hear you talk about pricing and raising prices is what your pricing formula looks like. And to be honest, I am wondering if you even have one. In case you're not familiar with the concept, you take your costs (material + labor) and apply a pre-defined markup. For example, if you want to make $20 an hour for yourself (or your employee) and use $5 of materials and equipment (say, detailing brush costs $3 and you can use it 100 times so 3/100=$0.03 depreciation every time you use it) then if your markup is a multiplier of 2.5 you would charge $25*2.5=$62.50. This way you not only have money to pay yourself and/or your employee(s) and to restock material and equipment, but you will have a predefined profit that can be reinvested into your business. Think marketing, branding, training your employees, adding vehicles to your fleet, upgrading certain equipment, etc. This way it becomes easier to manage goals to work towards, and how you'll reinvest your profits towards the next goal once you hit them. And if you feel like a markup of 2-2.5 is too high, I would recommend looking up some videos on pricing, the psychology of sales, and how it generally gives you less whiney customers and people who keep haggling over prices, leaving you with more time to work on customers who you actually want to work for. Just a few thouhgts, hope any of it helps. Keep it up!

Business has been dying out for me in Georgia, haven't had a call in almost 2 weeks, I've handed out tons of business cards, paying for ads on Facebook, posting videos and pics on both Facebook and Instagram, sending out mass texts to previous clients, my van has a wrap and I wear my uniform with Business info on it everywhere I go, my Google page is averaging 30-40 views per week and my website 20-30 clicks but no bookings... I don't know what to do anymore... it's like I practically gotta beg people to show interest

I have worked on every thing from Lamborghini and Ferraris I do full pant correction with ceramic coats and I know I'm way under budget as I only charge 800 depending on the vehicle. I would make it easier for them and have a manager to make sure to know who is doing what for the day and make sure to load that van and have the crew ready. For me, If I were one of your employees I would tell you that if you want me to be more efficient you would need to have the vans and routes ready every morning.
