That's so awesome! I've been wanting the purple oxalis for such a long time. I can't seem to find them locally, so I might have to purchase one online. They really are great plants and make me so happy when I look at their cute little flowers. I love how the leaves open and close during the day and nighttime 🤗 I couldn't believe it my mother in law told me she had this plant that long. It's over 50 yrs old and that's so amazing to me! Your so welcome! I did have to cut some of the leaves off of the one I dismantled, but new ones will set in soon. The other one acclimated great and no foilage needed to be trimmed. Nursery’s say you really don’t need to transplant these! These go dormant and regrow! Florida does drop down In Tempature at night to! I live in Northern California myself , and I know global warming and Mother Nature is changing, this lady is in denial about Florida weather chnging

At first, I was scared to death, trust me 😆 but I took my time, did a lot of research and got it done. You have to experiment and be willing to try different things. Don't be afraid to go for it. Yes, that could definitely be the culprit. I've done it before so don't worry 😉 It shouldn't hurt them if it's corrected soon.. sometimes I just add more soil on top, instead of repotting the whole thing, but it all depends on how fast it's growing and if it needs more room. I usually repot mine 1x a yr to reset all the rhizomes. They tend to grow better and I always get more plants out of the deal because the rhizomes will break off as your repotting. Don't worry if this happens, you can just plant them up and propagate them😉 Usually I go really light on watering the first time, until the rhizomes callous over and heal. Than I resume ny normal watering schedule. Moistening the soil all the way through and letting it dry out inbetween each watering.. I feed 1 x per month and this helps to generate lots of leaf growth and should also start flowering for you really soon😉

If they had roses.. read my comment they're highly prone to rose rust some websites even call it "oxalis rust"

Hello there! Thank you so much for your kind words, it's really great to meet you. Honestly, there are probably many things you could do in this case. Shamrocks are extremely sensitive to a rapid change in environment, but extremely hardy and easily bounce back. In my experience shamrocks will usually get shocked about 1- 2 weeks after I bring a new plant home. Even though it might have been in similar growingconditions, they still tend to loose most of their leaves when you first bring them home due to the change in their environment. It should settle in pretty quickly given the right conditions, luckily, they're pretty easy to grow. Some people grow them in 4 to 6 hrs of morning direct sun or dappled sun through blinds near a windowsill, there are many places you can grow these, both indoors and out. If growing outdoors some protection is necessary, especially in the summertime, and I decrease the direct sunlight significantly to about 1 to 2 hrs a day in the early a.m. (with the protection of a shade cloth because I live in Florida and the sun is pretty intense here).. they can also survive (not thrive) in indirect, but bright light, as long as it's pretty bright.. I have them both indoors and outside. Outside, they sit on my patio getting about 3 hrs of morning sun behind a shade cloth and the rest of the day indirect bright light.. they are going crazy lol.. I have some indoors that are growing and healthy, but not thriving because of the lack of really bright light and air flow which helps the stems to become stronger and stand up better. Sorry for the long message. Hope this helps. Does the soil seem soggy? If it seems muddy and thick, than I would recommend repotting it and inspecting the rhizomes. I use a really well draining potting mix like burpee organics and add perlite to it, as needed (depending on your type of climate and where it's going to be growing).. as far as watering, I caution more on the drier side.. I know it's time to water when my soil is dry and the pot feels light enough. If you feel the weight of the pot when it's wet.. and then feel it a few days after that, you'll be able to get the hang of when to water. When the soil feels dry on the bottom by the drainage hole and the pot feels light like nothings really in it, you know it's usually a good sign it needs water. They do like to be soaked all the way through when watered and they like their roots to dry out before watering again. They just don't like their roots to stay dry inbetween the waterings too long, if that makes sense lol. Let me know of you need anything😉 I'm always here to help when I can.

I usually repot all my plants as soon as they settle in from the store.. If the soil seems like pretty good soil, you can wait to see what happens and it might bounce back. That being said, if somethings going on with the soil, roots etc.. and you feel comfortable repotting it, I don't believe it could hurt. The only way to know for sure is to repot it.. (all the leaves might fall off but it's normal for that to happen, new leaves and flowers should start to emerge about a week or two after repotting).. they always amaze me after I repot them lol. If you see roots sticking out of the bottom of the pot, you know it could probably use an upgrade and refreshing of the soil. When I don't like the looks of things, I usually like to inspect the plant carefully and look for the reason it's struggling. That choice is totally up to you and what your comfortable with doing😉

They usually give you hints as to what they need, just by how they look 😉 You'll learn more as you grow.. it takes time so don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions 🌿

I don't see why you couldn't give it a try 😊 I always love to experiment with mixing up my plants. Sometimes they're not happy with it and sometimes they are.. putting 2 of the same variety in one pot is usually ok, as long as they have the same light, soil and watering requirements.

Yes you can😊 I just personally don't have any experience with storing bulbs for future use as I'm in florida and our growing season is pretty much all yr round. I wish I could help you further but I wouldn't want to give out false information. It's something I just don't have experience with and I apologize for the inconvenience 🌱

This plant does very well indoors near a window or under a grow light.

It might be a little shocked from repotting, but it's hard to say.. Sometimes when I repot my shamrocks all the leaves tend to perish but once it settles back in, they'll usually start to grow pretty quickly again. I like to keep my soil more on the drier side than moist just because they are bulbs/rhizomes and can rot out easily sitting in wet muddy soil for too long. I just water enough to moisten the soil all the way through to the bottom of the pot. Wait for it to dry out, than I go ahead and water again once the soil is almost completely dry to the bottom. I keep my shamrocks in a few hrs of direct morning sun, dappled through the blinds and it seems to do pretty well for me. You don't want full sun for them, you just want some dappled rays through the shades 😎 let me know if you need anything else. I love to help whenever I can😊

They're super hardy plants. Mine get droopy when thirsy. Instead of transplanting I would have suggested watering.a bit more Mine tend to perk up in a few hours when I give them enough water. My oldest one is 20+ years old and is in a fancy pot with no holes and is completely root bound and super happy and bushy, flowers a couple times a year. Is not watered often. My other is in a clay pot with holes and is also quite happy but gets watered more frequently. If I forget to water it goes droppy and I water immediately and it perks up within hours, even at night.

First thing I do is try not panic 😉 Shamrocks are very resilliant.. It sounds like the leaves just got shocked because of repotting, which happens quite often when I repot my shamrock plants. I'd leave it alone, as long as it's in a good draining but rich kind of mix, I like to add earthworm castings to my soil, which ever I choose to use. Regular potting mix or succulent type soil is good. I just add extra drainage if necessary. If it was me, I would wait about a week.. see what happens since you just repotted it.. water when the soil is almost completely dry but don't let it stay too dry or the leaves can wilt and brown. New leaves should start popping up in about 5 to 7 days after planting. My shamrocks thrive on a bright windowsill or in early morning sun.. and stay in bright light for the rest of the day. Yes that would be my suggestion as well😊 replant them seperately or leave them to fill out the pot. I just make sure the little Rhizomes are covered lightly with soil. They can get a bit dried out at the top of the pot, if they're left sticking out of the soil for too much or too long.

If your unfamiliar with watering habits you can try investing in a moisture meter😊 They really do come in handy and take the guessing out of when to water each plant. It all depends on some things like how much sun is it getting, is it growing indoors or outside, what type of soil is it in, how much drainage material is added to the soil, how big the plant is and the pot size its in compared to the root system, how much water that particular plant species likes etc.. its recommended to take all things into consideration when determining when to water your plants. A lot of people stick their finger into the soil about halfway down the edges of the pot. If it feels moist you know you can wait a little longer to water. Some people also use a wooden stick... if the soil comes out on the end of the stick and looks wet you know it's probably still moist. If there's no soil on the end of the stick than you know it's a good indication it needs water. Another way to tell which I usually do, is by lifting the pot. After you water, feel the weight of the pot, it's usually pretty heavy. After a few days, lift the pot again and feel how much lighter it is. If it feels the same or a bit lighter, you know the soil is starting to dry out. A day or 2 later... pick it up again and feel the weight of the pot, does it feel significantly lighter?... If so, I ask myself how light does it feel?.. Does it feel like there's no plant in the pot, yes/no. If it feels really light like there's no plant inside I know it's a good indicator I can water. This method usually works best for experienced growers so whatever method you feel comfortable with is ultimately up to you. Its always good to practice the "lifting your pot method" in my eyes 😊 Hope this helps! Best of luck!

In my experience it's not uncommon for the leaves to drop after repotting which is why a lot of growers recommend removing them beforehand. That being said I don't remove any leaves unless they break or flop over once repotted. They usually don't perk back up, if they haven't within 2 days or so.. best to remove them once they start dying so it puts energy into the new growth. Just some suggestions, you don't have to do anything your uncomfortable with.. sounds like it would be fine if you just left it alone too. That's ultimately up to you😊 Hope this helps

@@frankpeters6326 ohh I see. I understand now, sorry about that. It should be fine if you leave the stems and leaves in tact.. The more photosynthesis it gets the better when recouping. 😊 It usually happens to me after repotting because they're not so stable in the soil being its so fresh and usually on the fluffy side. It shouldn't do any harm whatsoever and I usually leave well enough alone if it's healthy and 😁The stems sometimes droop because of the transplant but should be A ok 👍 Just remove any that might fall off. You might get a few that die off as it settles in, but no need to worry. As long as new growth is starting to appear you know your good to go (usually happens within 1-3 weeks depending on the climate and conditions). Hope this helps😉

Before they stood up, they are all droopy now. Will it prop back up or did I kill the poor thing somehow. I tried to be careful 😢 It's perked up a BIT overnight! It still looks very bad but it is slightly better!
