The funny thing is Danny got more KNOWLEGABLE as his video went on. He may not have gotten a ton better at the game, but he learned more and more about it, more than I do as a ~10 year Minecrafter

Seeing the thought process from both ends makes this so much more impressive. I can't imagine being in either position. Having to be Danny and pretend to know what someone across the room is doing and thinking, or having to deliberately change my playing style in order to make the run believable. Kudos to both of you

I first watched his video the other day and at first I totally thought the run was believable to be his. Then, I watched all of his streams where he practices speedrunning, and rewatched the run at the end. So many little things were dead giveaways. Danny keeps the extra blocks on the crafting table when crafting, you keep them selected on your mouse. Danny crafts armor from his iron, and never crafts shovels. You didn't craft any iron armor and crafted shovels twice (on this run and one other that you reset). Danny never grabs more wood or blocks, nor does he block clutch while jumping. You did both. You both did a fantastic job at acting , it really was just the small details that stuck out, and again, only after I obsessively watched all his practice! Anyway, this was such an awesome prank. I cannot get enough of this idea. As someone in your chat said "This collab was not on my 2023 bingo card" but I'm so, so glad it happened anyway! Y'all are amazing. Thanks for the superior content!!! ❤

As someone who doesn’t watch Danny’s streams except for highlights posted on KZfaq, I was impressed by how good Danny suddenly became. Especially the parts where he built the portal underwater so quickly, and where he jumped onto the one block surrounded by the lava underneath the end portal. I was shocked by those moves, but I still didn’t suspect a thing. This was such an entertaining shenanigan! Thanks for making this happen

Literally the movement and little things only speedrunners know when I watched it initially just made me think he was practicing like a lot. Looking back it was so obvious but the little messups that happened unintentionally and intentionally had me sold.

But in reality Danny tricked you and he was playing and he was so good at hiding it he convinced you you were playing not him of course you should have expected this he is a man of trickery after all

the most fascinating thing about this video is just how much you had to be aware of in order to sell this believably, and just how much I wasn't aware of the things you thought were glaring lol. like i think with the amount of time Danny spent practicing and the fact that he publicly showed you mentoring him, it was very easy to believe that it was a combination of him getting better and sheer luck. Like trying to find the home portal i was convinced was him being incredibly lucky, not something you'd intentionally remembered. i have to give extra props to you because you put in a lot of effort to make it look so believable! But i will say that out of everything you thought would give you away, the one thing that was actually suspicious is that Danny would never stand in the end portal like that lmao. I remember having my heart in my throat thinking he'd lost his mind placing one tiny block in the middle of the lava lol

I watched all of Danny’s livestreams. I usually didn’t catch them live, but I caught the last few big ones, including the giant ending. I was so excited. I watched the video that Danny made when he came clean about it and my boyfriend laughed at me for the entire video because my jaw was on the floor. I had to pause at each revelation being like “I REMEMBER THAT” and “I CANT BELIEVE THIS WASNT REAL.” It was epic. I think I like being pranked. Overall I’m so glad I was there to experience it.

i never at any point suspected that someone else was playing for danny BUT the ONLY thing i caught that seemed weird to me was when they got to the portal room and “danny” jumped down onto a block in the lava in order to place the eyes i was like huh never seen that before but that was literally it. this was such a cool bts, it was so fun to get insight on all the little moves i didn’t notice during the stream!! thanks for participating and sharing this side of it all!!

As a Danny fan, I can't tell if I'm disappointed to have found out it was fake AFTER celebrating during the live stream, or if I feel incredibly proud that he duped us all. Also, big ups on you for being so knowledgable but not a know-it-all. Even when talking about how you know more than Dany about the runs/techniques/etc you never sound like you're talking down to him or anyone else. That's rare to see in and outside of MC, haha
