Found a SYSTEM to give YOU a Massive Population BOOST!!!!!!!!! ANYONE CAN DO THIS!! 1 Ton Construction bags are Great. If you look at my EQUATION video it tells you how many worms I run in my bins to get them to reproduce or build up castings fast in larger bin. It's what has been working for me.

I just got into worm farming in September 23. I started with 45-50 red wigglers from a pet food store. I now have 4 buckets and one buspan full. I also love looking at the worms. It’s a passion!

I like to think of my set up as a KISS set up (Keep It Simple, Stupid). I had points where I wanted to make it more complicated, but I found keeping it simple makes it easier on me and the worms. Thank you for your comment!

@@PacificNorthwestWormFarm do you know the amount of food you go through each week? Just curious if it's like 20lbs total for all bins or what. I only have a few hundred so the scale is hard to compare haha Thanks for your reply!

@nk-dw2hm I'm going to do a video on how to feed worms, but a very simple equation is to feed your worms past the amount they weigh each day. Worms process half their amount of weight each day under optimal conditions. So if you have a few hundred worms, that's about 1/4 pounds of worms so that would be about 2 tablespoons of worm chow a day and other food up to 1/8 pound. And if they're not eating their worm chow in a day, then you're feeding too much. So just adjust accordingly; more if they're eating it every day, less if they're not.

I use a molasses solution and have found they breed quicker. 1 part molasses, 4 parts h2o. 1 a month, one gallon.

I just started adding molasses solution as per your suggestion. My ANC population is not getting bigger and I am not sure why. Thanks for the tips.

Found your channel today and excited to see your operation. Very cool shop! I have a small worm shed and a few systems in the garage. I’m up in the Pacific Northwest too! I’m in between Seattle and Vancouver BC, so pretty north, compared to Portland OR or Seaside. Just curious what your climate is? I only worm farm for pleasure, my garden, to gift castings to friends and family and to get rid of tons of material that doesn’t need to go into a landfill.

Thanks! I got a lot or most of my set up and food scraps for free or cheap from local businesses in town that were getting rid of them. I plan on doing a video soon on how I managed to do so.

I am so proud of my worm totes to and i also love doing daily peek a boos 😤 😀 w my baby red wigglers. I dont got blues yet. I always loved animals my whole lufe got into worms for free pet food and plant food. I started 4 years ago and i can't complain i so jealous of ur setup but u have the means and space to do so. I hope u make plenty of funds. I also made bunch insect frass from golden meal worms n oatmeal.

Peek-a-boos and walk throughs with your worms are a lot of fun, but they'll become even more fun when you get some blues because blues are very fast and very active and are a lot of fun to watch. I hope you get some blues soon because I think you'll like them. Good luck in the future with your worms!

Keep on the look out for a video in the future on this topic, but I started with coco coir, cardboard, and organic materials like grass and leaves, and I've been adding 100% organic finished compost to my bins as of late. But my bedding will evolve depending on what's available because they can live in many different types of bedding. Thanks for your question!

Very creative and amazing . I like the crates at the bottom of box so cardboard will not rot . Grow not just worms or snails but sweet potatoes etc. Box with plastic bag agriculture !
