If you could have asked me 5 years ago where I thought I'd be today, "earning money playing as Guy Fieri in a children's party game" wouldn't exactly be #1 on my list.
(I've been very motivated to play Smash Ultimate lately, with Rizeasu scoring that crazy win at an offline Japanese major! So I decided to put my Guy Fieri skills to the test & see what I could do. It ended up being a lot of fun - hope you enjoy the video!)

I’m going to say this. That Mii Gunner gameplay was so rotten the apple I was holding just disintegrated. But. Gotta respect it too, it’s corny, it’s awful to fight against. But that’s cause they’re using the character right. And getting the results they wanted from it. My only regret is Gannondorf doesn’t have a projectile so uh. Guess I’ll just die.

BMZ already mentioned it, but yeah you should look up our crew battle vs the kirbies. They have a near-guaranteed footstool on us, and that is very bad for a character that falls so fast. I fully believe that, at a high-ish level, we lose the MU. Specially if we don't run Shotput. But dair will always get him! Even onstage. Also, I believe that the Kirby player you fought is a bit unfamiliar with the Gunner MU, because I assume he never copied Gunner's ability. Charge Blast gives Kirby an extremely good option for Kirby (guaranteed KO out of fthrow at certain %s!!!), and he can charge it for free, since he has multiple jumps.

He did copy it once, but luckily I managed to kill him shortly after. Way too much of my mental energy went to picking escape options so I didn't get inhaled 😭 & yeah, the Kirby MU feels WEIRD. I'd love to play both MUs with JeJaJeJa more because it really was a crazy unique experience.

All these methods and mind games you put on yourself is true and very helpful. The biggest tourney I participated in (which was only 48 people) I had to put all that to the test. I only got 6th, but it was how I thought about it that carried me to that spot

Not enough ppl make videos like this. Videos that combine set analysis with mentality awareness and preparedness. Very good stuff. Most ppl I have encountered that dont play competitive very seriously could be much much better if they changed their mentality. But the world is hurting for a stable, inclusive, philosophy RN so it makes sense. Its not just smashers is just ppl in general. The take away from this video and smash in general is that if you work hard and stay patient, you can achieve your goals. And also win or lose at the end of the day friendship and growing together is what makes life special not being the best. 10/10 video.

My favorite example of this is definitely Game & Watch... my friend channels every last drop of his contempt for the game into a playstyle that can only be understood as inhuman. From perfectly-spaced Chef 2-frames to upBing every time he's in the slightest hint of damager.
