If it is champions trophy then top 4 test teams and top 4 associate teams should play but they have to qualify for the spot . Cricket isn't exciting anymore. We want to see new formats game ... Here's my opinion on how icc should Move cricket forward 1. completely limit odi and T20 bilatrels 2.only test match bilateral should happen with 2 limited over matches in some series' but not more than 2 limited overs seris in a year 3.t20 leagues should be priotrize and top 2-3 teams depending on leagues level should qualify to play champions trophy kind off tournament and first round of league could be played in home away fixtures 4. wtc, odi wc, T20 wc should be only icc events happening ..i think wtc n odi wc time frame is good but T20 every two years doesn't make sense, also quarterfinals should be must at all wcs 3. try to introduce cricket to schools in assosiate Nations, open an icc academy for cricketers in those countries 4.big 3 India,aus,eng should be given responsibility to grow cricket in certain nation's so what do you think about my suggestion

Bhai ek idea aya im gonna share here, We give more importance to club and continental cricket same as football, have the continental cups like Asia Cup, North America Cup, Europe Cup and then we have 6 winners then the host and the champion of world cup. 8 teams in pure knockout or 2 groups of 4. Associate nations should host it i feel so that they can get a chance on a big stage and funding to make good stadiums. We can have everything in T20 format and Odi World Cup should be limited to 16 teams as it is the next purest form of cricket next to test cricket. Would love to have your opinions and a possible video as well!

I think that will still be like a world cup. The best way to continue champions trophy would be: Champions of every continents compete against each other along with wc champions and hosts.(Like confederations cup in football) World cup should only come after 4 years. And in between it Asia Cup for asian teams , Euro + Australia, Pacific Cup , American cup , Africa Cup should be held so that It covers othe years and World cup come only after a long wait to create more hype.😅❤

Euro cup might work but East pacific region has some really weak teams. The final would be Australia vs New Zealand. Not a bad idea but may not be competitive.

You need to make Cricket a GLOBAL sports so as to make 24 teams battle. No one is goning to watch associate team matches like : USA, CANADA, Neapl etc until big teams arrive. Cricket has mainly 8 teams who play TEST playing that are taking this game up and NOW only India. Hence Ind vs Pak is crucial for revenue and hence survival of the game cricket. Also, cricket is a High volume low intensity game and you need to shorten the time duration so as to encourage players to play intensily. That makes cricket more like a Baseball 😂

Dear *Nishankar * Being a member of State level selection committee I will always try my best to reach out every remote location of my state Meghalya with this format which is now under implementation from several weeks. But for international level it's a huge dilemma to future of the game.

We need t20 world cup is main 4years Test or ODI one should be decided but with 30 or 35 over 5 days and 50 overs per day players will take retirement for t20 and franchise cricket it's end of the day players choice to choose people can comment any thing but players will t20 as only world in future more teams participate in t20 and it's currently the biggest world cup of future and proper window creation for no confusion and traditional narrow minded people are problem just like 60 years old grandfather's don't understand future

T20 world cup is the biggest tournament according to me. This is the most competitive format and winning it feels like achieving something big. Odi have 6 or 7 teams to fight for it. The rest aren't that good.

I think champions trophy should only be a prestigious tournament like finalissma in football.. Champions and runners up of asia cup euro cup africa cup pacific cup and america cup ( 10 teams) And another team will qualify as host nation... this tournament should be conducted in associate cricket countries( with odi satus) as a means to promote cricket by organising matches of high profile teams Total 11 teams Format of tournament(in ODIs oviously as it is the best format.. this t20 wc prooved it how badly it could not match the 2023 odi wc)- First round- runners up of all cups( 5 teams) + host (6 teams) will play 3 knockout matches Second round- 5 champions+ 3 teams from 1st round (8 teams) will play quater finals followed by semi third place and final It will be a tournament of just 11 games perfect for a associate nation to host who dont have many grounds It will be too much fun I know it is a far distant vision.... but it is the best method

True. Odi world cup should be renamed as champions trophy and played in a knockout format. T20 world cup should take place every 4 year not 2 year.

WT20 should be after 2 yr gape only. This allows Associates enough chance to play more games. Let's see as we have another wc in 1.5 yrs. We need to have the qualified teams in 1 yr. So any mediocre associate team will play 1 regional round and then 1 continental round for qualification in 1.5yrs time. Approximately 10 games. That's huge. Also now if we consider teams like jursey, Nigeria which are promising grounds, it's like a great opportunity for them to explore some bilaterals as well. Imagine this thing being compounded for 10 15 years. We will see better improvement in associates. Though no team can match the skillset of Ind, Aus, Eng, SA, NZ but these shorter formats will allow opportunities for upsets against BD, WI, IRE or Zimbabwe. More than ICC, ACC and ACA should take more initiatives to spread cricket. That's where money is. Imagine Malaysia, Thailand (though their women's team is great) Japan Nepal taking the spotlight, in 10 15 years. Now in cricket, it's really unlikely to see quick growth as it's expensive on grassroots plus the technology that big 5 has is miles advanced compared to the rest of the cricking world. So reaching the same levels or atleast fighting neck to neck is very hard, even if MBS 3 pours 100ml for cricket in SA

Good opinion on champions trophy. It should be renamed as ICC knockout trophy. And t20 World Cup should be once in 4 years and the middle year should be ICC t20 knockout trophy. What’s your opinion on world test championship? Why always same nine teams play the tournament? When will Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and Ireland play test series with big teams. According to me in this case every associate team must be given test status and the wtc must be played at multiple pyramid level. In the end of championship the last 2 ranked teams that fair poorly in the championship must be demoted to bottom tier and must be replaced with two best performing teams from the bottom tier.

Merge the 2 world cup in 1 world cup in t20 format which would be held every 4 years increase number of teams in leagues and instead of useless bilateral have a champions league(not sure how this will work out as players play for different franchise in different leagues but perhaps longer contracts) basically go the football route, in return for less international cricket let icc have some portion of the leagues revnue which should be use to develop associates

icc should make champions trophy with 32 teams and direct knockout tournament with regional qualifiers . Team slots should give like this : Host=1 , ASIA =10,EUROPE =6,AFRICA=5, NORT AMERICA =4, EAP=4, SOUTH AMERICA=1 & 2 from intercontinental play offs
