I saw one of my great uncle dressed up to the 9s and visited different cities to shake hands with the locals as an act of diplomacies. How do you get people to keep their own well being high ??.... Being a Cbr local, it never ceases to amuse me that many locals see the monument in Russell as Bugs Bunny , when in reality it's a very serious looking eagle. This is a great documentary. It might have been sponsored by ASD, but hey, they do great work, and it's awesome to actually hear about some of the awesome stuff they do. It's probably the most secretive of all Oz government agencies. Thanks for posting ABC. This is really interesting.

1:36: 🔒 A top-secret military intelligence unit in Australia during World War II decoded Japanese radio signals and encrypted messages for Allied troops. 6:33: 💣 The summary is about the role of Central Bureau in World War II and the Bali bombings in 2002. 13:57: 💣 The investigation into the Bali bombings relied on mobile phone data and signals intelligence analysis. 20:09: 🔍 The Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) played a crucial role in identifying and capturing terrorists involved in the Bali bombings and preventing an individual from joining the Taliban. 26:31: 🌐 ASD successfully convinces Ali to leave Kabul and return home after three months of monitoring his activities. 31:45: 🔒 ASD used offensive cyber capabilities to deny ISIS access to the internet and disrupt their communications during the operation Valleywolf. 37:42: 🔒 ASD's cyber warriors played a crucial role in the fight against ISIS and in protecting Australia from cyber threats during the COVID-19 pandemic. 43:48: 🔒 ASD successfully disrupts a global cyber criminal syndicate by disabling their malware and damaging their reputation. 49:25: 💻 The cyber war between Russia and Ukraine involves a blending of cyber criminals and state actors, with both sides recruiting hackers for their operations. 56:41: ✨ The cybersecurity efforts of Ukraine have shown that a team approach can be successful in defending against cyber attacks and upholding democracy. The lost art of keeping a secret Reminds me of my octogenarian lady neighbour when I was a kid, I'd always stop for a yarn w her on my way past. Little sis had chicken pox, I was told not to go telling everyone. Go Mum. So I tell the dame down the hill, on my way to the shops Quite the Mickey bird full of news, I was. Totally forgot not to tell. So I ducked in on the way back, correcting my six year old stuff up I wasn't meant to say ! I blurt out She laughs and says I'll tell you something important about life If it's not good news You don't go about broadcasting it love Your Mum is right and being a good mum. Such a simple home spun core value. Old fashioned. Bless her. I've never forgotten it either, it stuck, that little gem. They don't spin em like they used to, that's for sure mate.

@@mraaronfrancis yes, but a big part of our world revolves around properly functioning infrastructure. We still need to keep at the cyber for defensive purposes too.
