I read a book series like this when I was a kid, kid genius detective with a dad as the police chief. When he was stumped, he’d tell his kid about the case at dinner and go back the next day with the answer. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

My husband had this procedure on his liver when he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It's called a bili-drian sometimes, especially if the tube leads outside the body.

here's a story i study medicine and in early 2020 our anatomy professor canceled a lecture, no one asked why of course, then the week after my tutor got told a joke about how we 1st years would come up with a new treatment to which he replyed "that's totally possible, just last week the university team did a meeting with 3 middle schoolers who came to present a neurological disability related idea and the university called a group of specialist professors to come discuss the idea (including our anatomy and neurology professor) so yeah...this can happen

I feel like this is the method for a lot of science. Take gel electrophoresis in marine biology for example: you take a water sample; and to see if a species of fish passed through that water, you shock the water on a piece of gel. If the species _was_ in the water, dark bands will appear on the gel. (There's more to this obviously, but that's the short and basic explanation)

Had anorectal manometry 2 weeks ago. Currently on day 3 of my 2nd Sitz marker study. I've swallowed radioactive eggs. I've had cameras stuck in both ends.
