I rent a Geely last August when I went home to the Philippines and I am super impress by the vehicle. It is the most comfortable and technological advance vehicle I have driven in compare to other Japanese car marker brand. I drive a Volvo in the US and it is very similar with regards to shifting, dash layout and safety. Since Geely now owned Volvo , they took all the advance engineering , Research , Development and apply it to their own Geely brand.

yung BAIC M20 namin 5 years na from Jan 2017 so far no major problem only lady made problems hehehe. Yung pipe palang ang napalitan, yung papunta sa coolant since nakakalimutang ipa pms in a timely manner. Last time i know that BAIC had a larger seat in Daimler stake & Hyundai. I think the also now own Saab. Eventually MOST of our cars will be made in china or are china branded cars.

Yung sa ingay sa exhaust, usually pag may butas ang pipe or leaking gasket sa mga manifolds and junctions. Kaya gaskets are usually changed to new ones when you change any part of the exhaust system. Also the internal plays a big role in muffling the sound, nauubos din ang material sa luob ng muffler, lalo na pag hot running ang makina mo, like pag naka turbo. Forced air intake and forced din ang exhaust gas relief. Minsan din nasa mid pipe resonator or sa catalytic converter ang issue, pag sira.

It's not how long you own it, it is how far it traveled and served you can already be a good basis of performance. Less than two years of ownership with 50,000 kms mileage is already extreme and can be equivalent to the 5-year average annual usage of 10,000 kms/year. So having no major issue seems like Coolray is really value for money. Just my thought.

Would like to share my experience with my Okavango. Baka meron din dito naka experience ng ganoon. D ko pa kc madala sa casa to have it checked coz alanganin sa work. Just a background, Mga 1yr palang sya sa akin. Mileage is just 2900+ coz city driving lang and there are times na once a week ko lamg sya nagagamit. Anyways, ung concern ko are the door locks and windows control. For example, pagpasok ng coche, instinct is to lock the doors for safety dba. Most of the time, hindi gumagana ung lock. Maghihintay pa ako na maka takbo ng 20kph at mag auto lock. Kahit anong pindot ko ng lock, ayaw ma lock. Same din sa pagbubukas. Need to shut off the car bago ko ma unlock. RE the windows, kahit hindi naka lock ang windows. As the driver, i cannot control the windows. If ever i need to open the passenger or other side windows, i would need to reach for it. Any inputs?

Yung sa moonroof shade mo. Kaya siya manipis, medyo euro style siya kasi usually sa kanila hindi sunny masyado ang panahon nila; para may ambient light. Example ng shade na manipis kagaya ng sa inyo, Honda Jazz/Fit sa EU/UK ganyan, pero sa US and other countries hindi, makapal ang shade. Kahit naman din makapal yung shade kagaya ng sa Hyundai Santa Fe or Subaru Forester XT ko mainit din ang pano-moonroof, kahit makapal at hindi see through ang shade. Because glass inhibits heat. Also UV plays a big role in heat. So to compensate, put tint na dark or medium na may UV protection it will lessen the heat. Just make sure you get good original tint like 3M or Vkool, well that is what I use. Effective siya. Pero of course pag tirik na tirik ang araw may heat pa rin. Not as bad kung wala kang tint.

For those saying x mainstream brands saying parts are available and cheap, don't get me wrong, yes they are available but any original parts from any manufacturer is expensive, a cheaper price does not reciprocate quality, I have an Innova since '17, I broke the drivers side sunvisor, it cost me 4000, the radio mount (not the unit, the mount) cost 15000 plus labor and these are just flimsy plastic pieces, for those saying Toyota is a good quality car, try owning one for real, I have this one since '17 and the interior is already making funny noises in the cabin in the first two years and didn't mind about it because it's not worth fixing based on my last bill. I'm just following the periodic maintenance. Yes the engine is robust, but also be mindful that any car is not resistant to careless owners, I have heard stories of owners of different brands saying that their car is just as reliable as it gets as long as it is maintained. If you care about the car's life, just take note, a car is considered reliable if it didn't break down in the first 3 years, minor problems are always present regardless do not overthink yourself out.
