This takes me back to where I have been three times in my life. Siem Reap is one of my favourite spots on the globe. The second time, my son and I, visited an orphanage close to the Angkor Japan Friendship International Hospital, but during the second visit to Siem Reap, we couldn't find it again, sadly.

I just returned from SR with a lot of changes since the Covid era. I also had a chance to visit this historical with my family way back in late 60s. The town was very quiet and peaceful with a few tourists and hotels so we had to stay at the Budhist temple around the area. Only memory lives on. There were mostly dirt roads around town and most of the temple complex remained wild and natural with many forest in the surroundings . Most of my family members did not survive the genocide under Pol Pot killing machine. Be mindful. Be kind whenever possible as life is short to do the things we don't love doing. Happy travels from a genocide survivor ✌️

Phnom Penh Riverfront used to be like that 7+ years ago, but the city just let it deteriorate. They use asphalt to replace the broken granite paving stones now. 😢

I get used to a way to cross the street in Cambodia. A lot of tourists scare to cross due to the busy traffic.
