Thing is, i really feel Dagoth there. He's pissed his bomb mage character got wiped by a goblin. Well i got my badass mage character blow himself up in a prison cell and another stealth archer build got greedy for a bow, which was in the posession of a goblin. My stealth archer build actually feeded the goblin and this mofo ended up being some sort of clever, very cunning shadow hunter goblin in the end of the campaign. That goblin actually survived the whole campaign, which lasted for 3 IRL years. We could only play on one evening at the weekend, so that's why it took us so long. Still, there's not much, which actually infuriates me more than this Goblin, well maybe Cliffracers from Morrowind. D&D is fucking awesome, if you have a cool and chill group.

As the barbarian of the party, our party wizard mentioned how they have a spell that can work against the enemies surrounding me, but being in the center was the issue. Me: "what's the save?" Wiz: "con?" Me: "do it, collectively I'll take less damage" I'm the only one to pass the save, two even dropped, worth the risk!

As a min/maxer, we're not all bad. As long as you show restraint and give your parties time to shine and support them, then you're just really helpful and good at what you do vs. the classic attention hog who has to be the one who does the most damage and always wins at everything.

When soul calibur 4 came out I made master chief in character creation gave him a chef's hat and named him master chef. He wielded a tenderizer mallet from astaroth. I thought his moveset made sense since chief is chunky and does fat kicks.

I'm pretty sure Blade_of_Omegon either does the voice acting first and uses AI to convert it to other voices, or uses prompts to carefully control the inflection of the final product. It seems really really unlikely the AI could make anything this colorful and consistent on it's own...

@jacobkarbacka2166 this is AI, I've actually found out that it is made using ElevenLabs since making this comment, it's a complicated, time consuming, and not free scenario, but the end result is this polished and beautiful work of art The training is done by using alot of character dialog as training material, and I would imagine inflection can be directly controlled by codes or such, like in Moonbase Alpha, but regardless, the AI does a good enough job when given enough training material lmao

Yes we just encountered him in our module, but were well under leveled. My brother, it's his first session, was shut talking the dragon. I immediately said I'm running away and told them all to follow. My brother didn't, and got hit with the breath lmao. I came in, dropped some gold, said sorry, dragged him out. Healed him and said you never, ever shit talk a chromatic dragon especially if you can't kill it yet.

Because movie production isnt about making good movies. Just like everything else its mostly about profit.You might see one or two billionaires / millionaires whos essentric enough to throw their own wealth at a project but most of the time the industry follows formulas. Anythign that hasnt been proven to work time and time again will not guarantee profits and thus will not be risked. You will get your average action adventure film with a (brand) theme to it along with some bits of for the long time fans to point their fingers at and yell "I KNOW THAT, THATS THE THING FROM THE HING" but thats the best you can hope for.

As made obvious by this being my longest video, this was also the most expensive one to make at about 9000+ characters! Shaxx’s voice is the most thoroughly sampled, so his voice has a really good range and I almost never have problems with him. Sometimes he’ll say something in a correct way, but not the way I want him to, so I’ll have to do retakes on those, but he’s generally a pleasure to work with. The only issue is that he’s quieter than the rest of the cast, but that’s very easily fixed in post. Dagoth, for having such a shallow pool of lines to work with, perpetually surprises me with his range. I don’t have to do very many takes with him at all, he usually just gets it exactly right or exceeds my expectations. Miraak is usually problematic. He never raises his voice except for when he isn’t speaking English (shouting) so his range is a bit more narrow, but he did really good for this video! He takes to emphasis especially well (“They’re GOBLINS” always gets me!). Alduin is rough. He’s a seriously mixed bag so I try not to make him talk more than I have to because his samples where he is just… talking English words are very slim since he’s a dragon and is usually speaking Draconic. Still, with enough patience, you CAN get him to work, but it is definitely an exercise of patience. Chief is generally pretty good but that sort of “helmet effect” is not reliably replicated which bugs me. Besides that, he does the typical ‘John’ voice very well, but he really can’t raise his voice or else he won’t sound like Master Chief at all, so he becomes a much cooler toned character because making him vocally explode like I can make Dagoth do is impossible.

​@@saberaqI actually really like Chief's calmer voice; it works well with his position as the helpful, supportive veteran player (the one we all want at our table, lol), imo.

The original trilogy didn't have as much characterization for him as the books and some later games, but he still had his moments where he showed sympathy/compassion for the folks around him. I think one of the biggest reasons why Chief is seen in this light though is the VA, since he's pretty widely beloved by not just the Halo community, but even peopke outside of it (from what I know). But yeag, in the past 5 or so years I'd say, people have really started warming up to/enjoying the idea of Chief as a compassionate soldier, with an almost fatherly vibe to him. (Damn, that was a long paragraph, sorry)

make a lil change to rule 1 and id say its perfect - it doesnt matter if what you're playing is good or not, but make sure you (and your party) have fun playing it. a concept doesnt instantly become fun to play just because its mechanically challenged, but i agree, weak and powerful characters alike can be unique and fun. fun #1 :)

Master Chief and Shaxx are definitely being true to their characters there. I don’t know much about Miraak, Dagoth, and Alduin but from what I’ve heard it’s accurate there too

In lore he made a deal selling his soul with what could be describe a Lovecraftian demon god in order to free himself from the shackles of his masters so that he can rule the world after, only afterwards looking for any way possible to free his soul from said Lovecraft god trying any cheat or secret he can find in the proccess. Dagoth was the main villain of Elder Scrolls Morrowind. Morrowind being consider the 3.5e of the Elder Scrolls franchise the same way people consider Skyrim the 5e, aka people who love Morrowind or played Morrowind in its time are called Morrowboomers for a reason. Also add his overinflated ego in game too, "Please. I am a god. How can you kill a god" being one of his most famous lines. Alduin in lore long time ago was hit by powerful magic that transported him into the future, all so he wouldnt destroy the world in the mean time of his absence. So after being freed from his time stasis finding himself in a world he doesnt recognize he wouldnt know what the F is DnD, but still as a dragon considers himself better than mortals to even care about playing as one.
